  1. I like the idea that Delph and Benteke had a bet that they could each mess up another PL club!
  2. I don't listen to it anymore because it is so poor in so many ways. I have concluded that their audience is either thick or loves a good moan about how crap it is!
  3. Just opinions. I've seen him play well and I've seen him play poorly, but that was in the past. Presently, I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays for us.
  4. I'm pleased they do, although some would still claim the club hasn't got a clue in this respect. I'm still not sure whether they do, I can't make up my mind whether this is planned and they are geniuses or so incompetent and just got lucky Delph changed his mind. I was less concerned about the club's PR ability, more enjoying VT's ability to claim complete opposites. In this case, the club was both an embarrassment for announcing the major signing of Gueye in the shadow of Delph's departure and yet they certainly know how to play the media.

  6. Also the Villa fan who spoke to him today. https://twitter.com/Jbuckers/status/619968418704420865 It was all bollocks invented by the press who are now desperately trying to save face by inventing a "U-Turn". The club removing him from the social media accounts briefly? The fact that it took so long for him, the Club, or Even Man City to come out with a denial? Now the dust has settled would you really expect him to be telling some random fan that he was on the way? If Amavi doesn't sign for us now, will it also have been a load of media made up bollox with nothing in it from the beginning? Sorry not buying it for a second, if anything I think it may now be damage control on the part of the player, AND Avfc itself. I have no doubt that Randy flying over changed something, which may have boosted both him and Benteke staying as they were both removed from our promotional material, then put back on again. Except the club didn't bother to remove them from the official site at all. We've genuinely no idea whether: Delph took his time in considering his options (citeh's contract offer, first team chances, family happiness), whilst citeh arranged the medical and then Delph decided he's better off at Villa OR a journalist was fed some BS and decided to run with the story which was soon copied by his fellow cronies who didn't want to miss out on a major story. Before long one incorrect rumour became a FACT (it appears the word has to be in capitals ). I wouldn't rule out the first option but I've seen enough of the UK media not to rule out the second option either.
  7. 'Journalists stick together in arse covering exercise' shocker.
  8. The picture change I saw was their FB cover photo to one without Delph in it, not sure about the OS. Happened about 10ish last night from what I remember. Thanks for the reply. There's a chance that fans jumped to an incorrect conclusion over the FB change because surely the club would have taken Delph off the main site as well. Delph was definitely still pictured on the OS at lunchtime today.
  9. A few posts have claimed the club removed Delph's kit photos from the site. Can anyone state when this was done? I'm curious because I was looking at the site at lunchtime today and Delph was still pictured in the new kit showing his captain's armband.
  10. Which paper(s) have said Delph is staying? No, just that he is having a baby. Nobody questions the truth in that. I'm unconvinced you have thought that through.

  12. If I was pushed to comment on the press rubbish regarding the so called 'release clause', I'd say the clause was to protect Delph from the club hanging on to him in the Championship. As we are still in the Prem, the clause is irrelevant. Knowing how dodgy the UK press is, it doesn't surprise me that they still ran with the Delph leaving for a bargain headlines, even though it is more than likely to be absolute balls. As Stan correctly stated, if the clause was still applicable, most of the clubs in the Prem would be chancing their arm with offers to Fabian. Most of those clubs would be happy to leak their intent to the press knowing it might help with season ticket sales. What the Scottish RB said makes sense to me.
  13. It appears you already know what the solution is.
  14. For the time she is on medication, would it help her not to drink if you stopped drinking too?
  15. Your previous experience has taught you both that you would have enjoyed the concert more and had a better time back at the hotel, having consumed much less alcohol. Your previous experience has also taught you both that sticking to just a couple of beers can be difficult. Why ignore all that experience and risk turning the night from "one of the best ever to one of the worst"?
  16. In fairness, Vlaar didn't say the "next level" was higher!
  17. Buy high and sell low. Or is it the other way around? Not sure what you mean about spending at work. I earn money at work. Perhaps that is where you need to improve.
  18. If I could only afford one or the other it would be a tough choice.
