  1. Why would he be interested in sitting on a different bench? Doesn't make sense to me.
  2. The message must be coming from Cutler that he just does not trust Nyland irrespective of a catch at Burnley and some saves at Leicester. Not good enough. Has to be, what a pointless signing otherwise. Reina must be coming here to start? Best situation would be Nyland continuing in goal barring a cockup I think. If you bring Reina straight into the side, Nyland's confidence is smashed to bits immediately should we ever need him again. It's clear Smith doesn't rate him.
  3. Think the summer was the time for him, no chance this season with us signing Drinkwater. Would have been a player if he settled. Much better footballer than Marvelous, perhaps they thought him and Luiz wouldn't both be able to play as neither is particularly physical.
  4. Palace would be mental to loan him to us. And we'd be mental to buy him.
  5. Although Smith has made errors himself this season, he's been let down by the quality brought in IMO. Suso has suggested most of these players. Smith has signed them off yes, but he can only judge and sign off what's brought to him. Being at the training ground for most of the year he can't be scouring the world for players. I think if we do top off an unbelievable 14 months by staying up Smith will be more cautious signing players for the sake of it after what's unfortunately ended up happening with injuries. I think we're gonners. Losing Heaton and not having an alternative striker available to an underperforming Wes has been too much. I can't decide if keeping us up will be as much of a miracle as getting us up. It's close.

    Louie Barry

They don't have a case. Barca should pay them though, weird how FIFA would allow it to go unpunished.
  7. We're very likely to end the weekend in the relegation zone. I think I'd probably take a 2-0 loss if you offered it me which is a sad state of affairs. They've recently played with no striker and about 4 players in the gap we leave between the back three and two man midfield. If we don't close that gap they'll score about 6. 352 is better for us than 343 because we can get Grealish into the middle of the game. Probably can't do it yet with no strikers but it's where we should be heading.
  8. Thanks. Nothing wrong with the pass though. Doug's error was getting caught. Ball could have gone long initially but the pass into Doug was fine.
  9. Getting lots wrong here aren't I He should have got a red!!!
  10. Reeling. I disagree with Smith if he's pointed the finger at Konsa. Move is made so he makes the pass trying to get some possession, we know the rest. What the whole thing does highlight for me is something that's been stark all season. We have so little nous it's maddening. Young team I suppose. BUT any freekick like that we should be taking an age over 1-0 up away from home to a team better than us. We're rushing when we should be being smart and wasting time. Anyone at the Southampton game knows how annoying and effective it can be when a team is doing it.
  11. Haven't even seen this on Villareport. Some Romanian agent claiming he's sending someone to Villa. Google translate effort...
  12. 352 definitely would be a good way to go once we've got some strikers in.
  13. I've got a bit of hope because we've seen he can play better in the Premier League. Early on he simply wasn't this bad on the ball. Form has gone. Needs his confidence rebuilding out the side. Absolutely does not look a £11m player.
  14. They might go for it on some sort of payment per goal return.
  15. TAYLOR OUT STEFAN IN We'd all have laughed at @AVFC-Prideofbrum if he said he was better than 41-time international Trezeguet but here we are. I watch a lot of League 1/2, minor leagues, amateur leagues. I regularly see players better than Neil Taylor who earn a twentieth what he does. It's criminal he's as bad as he is with the training facilities and coaching provided. I can only assume he's OK in the week and just shits himself during matches, that has to be how he's survived as a professional footballer. As well as not playing three at the back until 2020 and consistently playing Wesley through some truly horrendous form, having Neil Taylor in any matchday squads is poor form from the manager.
  16. If a striker doesn't happen today, he won't be playing Sunday.
  17. I don't think he was found as a "commercial signing" per se. I think he was found first as a raw player and they noticed his upside was monstrous if he hit. They gambled. Still could come off at some point.
  18. There's big positives to take from tonight. We've just gone away to the second/third best team in the country with no striker, Neil Taylor and both CMs playing poorly. Make no mistake they really wanted that as well, they couldn't have named a stronger team. We gave them their goal otherwise that was a 1-0 grub win. I thought Heaton being out was enough to relegate us to be honest, but there's a smidge of hope it Nyland can play like that every game.
  19. He's looks like the one that's been selected who will fill in if we need then. Barry could be an option if he signs perhaps.
  20. I have him ahead of Chester in the pecking order personally. He was really good early on.
  21. That's funny, totally forgot that match happened. Thought it might have been an "illness" tonight.
  22. I think this was a commercial signing. Or Suso has issues judging player technique.
  23. Whoops. Just a little treat for you. Updated it now.
