  1. I wouldn't mind Vydra if we sign a "starter" as well.
  2. Said it before and I'll say it again, Jay Rodriguez would be a great signing for us. Yes, he's been a right bastard to play against, but he's got some nous which all our forwards lack. Burnley would be absolutely mental to sell him to us. We've just gone there and outplayed them for 45 mins before sitting back and absorbing pressure for another 45. They're in this relegation scrap big time. That's why it won't happen. Welcomed with open arms by me, but we'd need someone pacy as well I think.
  3. It'd the first time he was wrong on us.
  4. There was some very specific figures from respected journalists about. Fighting excitement to say I don't think it's the worst thing if he does turn us down. Reservations about him fitting into the team.
  5. Hmm, not sure they're that similar IMO.
  6. On screen diversity is the reason he's getting a sudden push. The new pundits can't all be white blokes, there's enough of them around already. He's got the great advantage of being a Man City kid as well, they're on TV loads so plenty of chances for him. At least he does bring some life to proceedings as well, he's got a personality. Not a fan of some of the women being put on TV myself. The ex-keeper who did our Burnley comms was terrible, and she's always terrible! Her and the ex-arsenal player Kelly Smith are on BT Score often and are both rubbish. There must be some more Alex Scotts knocking about.
  7. Sincerely hope they bring up all that as well.
  8. God, he'd be fantastic up front with Haller. I agree with your points and I hope that's laid out in front of him. He's likely to get a couple of good chances every game. In reality though, we're a newly promoted team right in the mire of a relegation battle. West Ham are only a point ahead of us yes, but their squad is packed with quality. And they're in London which rich footballers would probably like the thought of living in. And they're likely to offer more money. As I said, the fact we're willing to spend money is the main positive here.
  9. Spurs and we've got no chance, West Ham it'll take some great convincing to get him here. He's certainly a step above where we are right now but I'm not sure he's suited to us overall to be honest. The huge positive for me here is that we're willing to spend money.
  10. I'd be stunned if we don't have an option with a pre-agreed fee after Mings. Not having one there cost us probably about £15m. I would guess the one here is around £5m, Chelsea have no use for him at all.
  11. This is so similar to the Bent signing except there's the added risk of him coming from abroad. This would be crazy in so many different ways.
  12. Just to make sure we get in a daily mention of him...Maupay being linked to Napoli for £35m is funny.
  13. Good grief! Has this Piatek thing got legs?! Not sure about that sort of money on him in our current position. He's a finisher and not a huge amount else. He's done nothing for Milan this season because they haven't made any chances. If we're going that big, I'd be going for Belotti who is a brilliant target man. Works his balls off.

    Louie Barry

This lad is so young Jack Grealish was probably his favourite player "growing up". He was 11 when we beat Liverpool at Wembley in the FA Cup semi. He was 7 when MON walked out. He was 5 when Gareth Barry left Villa for Man City. I think I need a lie down.
  15. Our relationship with Bruges might not be as good if we gazump them for Gaich.
  16. Is this displaying as a mess for anyone else?
  17. Apparently he's got himself an Italian passport for the move to Europe.
  18. Interesting, wonder if he was asked about him.
  19. Us having the WBA director in means I'm confident this lad must be worth our time. Coming back from Barca so soon is odd. Maybe he hasn't settled in Spain.
