  1. Apart from that run when he hit the post, he was largely poor today. Looks a little fed up with things and perhaps has given up too. Doubt we will see him next season.
  2. Didn't look out of place when he came on and didn't look nervous at all. He must be buzzing tonight.
  3. Think I have said this a few times since January, if he stays I can live with it but if he chooses to walk, I wouldn't be disappointed. Sacking him is a bad idea though, firstly the cost and secondly it wouldn't help our reputation for backing managers.
  4. Wasn't awful today but we were playing against a top four team and you really could tell. I feel the effort was there but the gulf in quality was immense. Walker down their right - wow, how fit he must be as never stopping running all game. Guzan MOTM. Only two plus points from today for me was that we didn't get hammered and that a 17 year old came on and didn't look out of place with his more experienced peers. Hats off to Andre Green.
  5. Sorry had trouble posting? DDID, no need to apologise mate as the criticism of you and others has been a little OTT over the last 24/48 hours in my opinion! We all have choices and we can all agree and disagree, but ultimately we all want to reach the same goal. A successful running football club! Moreover, hindsight is a wonderful thing and we all say things that we later regret but takes a bigger person to say sorry, again in my opinion. Hope things don't fizzle out mate.
  6. Have to disagree here slightly but only in the sense that with all the money available to Premiership Clubs next season I could see someone taking him, even if only on loan. He can be a squad filler and/or impact sub for someone. A Stoke, West Brom or a newly promoted club possibly? I hope that is the case anyway!
  7. Sad day for football today as Barry Bannan sent off!
  8. If we're talking keepers, I have always liked David Marshall at Cardiff. Experienced and steady enough, doubt a big fee would be involved either. A centre half is a must because Richards and possibly Lescott will go. Lewis Dunk could be one to look at here or a possible Premiership loan to keep costs down (Fonte, Chester)? We desperately need a change or two in midfield, Jedinak, Bridcutt, Charlie Adam, Bradley Johnson, to name a few. Offensively, I would keep Gestede but fear we will lose Ayew. Would rather Agbonlahor and Sinclair go, so along with integrating Sellars, Robinson and Hepburn possibly we will need someone else. Dwight Gayle, Shane Long, Joe Lolley?
  9. Please don't see this as criticism OTDO74 guys because I do believe that the previous and planned walk outs were the right thing to do. You have spoken that the club saw the OTDO74 as a bit of a joke, momentum in the media as key and gathering momentum with the supporters. However, the decision to postpone surely kills any momentum now! Problem is as well if the decision to postpone is now reversed then it will make the OTDO74 look indecisive. I don't even have a major problem with postponing if you'd have stated that it applies to the Chelsea game as well. I agree that the little steps made by the club this week is a step in the right direction but why then push a walk out for the Chelsea game? Surely, it would be better to postpone all further walk outs, have some dialogue with the club and attempt to obtain certain assurances before the start of next season? Should then these guarantees be broken, then ramp it up during the first 2/3 home games next season? I just cannot see how this can carry on for the remainder of the season now? If not already done so, please have a good think about the Chelsea game as well and perhaps have some communication with the club?
  10. Spurs win here unfortunately. Regardless of effort we simply are not good enough to match them. If fit, Okore has to return and Richards dropped: ---------------------Guzan------------------------ Hutton------Okore-------Lescott------Cissokho ---------------------Gana------------------------- -----------Bacuna-----------Westwood--------- -----------------------Gill------------------------- --------------Ayew--------Gestede-------------- Really hope Garde drops the five at the back and drops Agbonlahor ta boot! Bench of: Bunn, Richards, Clark, Veretout, Lyden, Agbonlahor, Sinclair. 3-1 to Spurs. Best bit will be the walk out I think. OTDO74
  11. Pleased with this and a step in the right direction!
  12. Cheers DDID, I think my reasoning for suggesting a meeting, headed by one or more of OTDO74, is because the club are obviously not going to talk to thousands of supporters in one hit nor would it be feasible to do so. A small group may just get some answers and a better understanding of our future, but again, this would only be of the willingness of the club. Longer term, it may even improve relations between us all and create some transparency, something severely lacking recently. Again, I hope OTDO74 does progress and doesn't just fizzle out. Momentum is key as you quite rightly say and requires as many of us as possible to get behind this now. Thanks again.
  13. DDID, in my previous post in this thread I asked whether any of the leading OTDO74 could possibly ask the club for a meeting with one or two of the board members? Do you think this is feasible/possible? I just think there are a lot of valid points in the open letter that deserve an explanation. If you and/or others were interested, be a shame not to enquire at least with the club. Great work to date by the way and having had more notice, be really interesting to see on Sunday whether more fans follow suit and leave.
  14. £1.25m? What a crazy crazy amount for someone running a football club. We have people running the country on far far less. Presume this is a basic salary figure, so imagine the expenses he claims on top of that (ie dining out, accommodation, travel etc). No wonder we are a mess!
  15. If he wants to stay and help bring us back, I would be more than happy! If he thinks he is bigger and better than us, then he can sod off, but I would want more than 5m and a sizeable sell on fee.
  16. Lewis Dunk would be a great purchase in the summer and possible captain material as well.
  17. Personally, I still think there is a player in there, but doubt now that we are ever going to see it consistently, especially in the Chamionship. Best for both parties if he goes I think, but I'm sure he will blossom somewhere and we will hear about it.
  18. For starters in the summer, we desperately need to sign our new captain and get them in quick so they can be a good influence on the training ground! Not really sure who but someone in the mould of a Gareth Barry would be good. Then we need to build a team with some of the best players from the lower leagues, supplemented by some experience. Here's a few suggestions - David Marshall, Charlie Adam, Liam Bridcutt, Bradley Johnson, Dwight Gayle, Nathan Redmond, Matt Phillips, Lewis Dunk, Joe Mason, Lewis Joao, Rico Henry.
  19. Just got in from work and read the open letter - how fantastic is that! Very well done to all the guys who have had input here. Just makes me more determined to walk out again this weekend. Serious question, how realistic would it be for a couple of you guys having a private meeting with one or two from the board? Really believe some valid points have been made and can see no reason why this can't be backed up with a meeting? An offer could at least be made from our side don't you think? OTDO74.
  20. Completely agree DC and can only assume that it is because they are the most experienced and/or biggest influence on the rest? Maybe nobody else in the squad has the stomach for it? Doesn't make it right though and Garde should just convince someone else to take it, even if it does mean ruffling a few feathers.
  21. Quite simply our best defender and fitness permitting, has to start every game. However, he does appear to be getting worse on the ball, but that could be the crap around him not helping?
  22. Should now be made to sit in the stands for the remainder of the season. Terrible attitude to the game. If I was Gestede I would be asking Garde how this guy can start ahead of me?
  23. Should be made to sit in the stands for the remainder of the season. Attitude all wrong and any but a club captain!
