  1. Having had a season ticket for the last 9 years I am regrettably not renewing and will pick and choose my home/away games next season. It will be absolutely gut wrenching to give up my seat though! My decision is partly down to finances, mid week games being an issue and at present I don't believe that I am being entertained/receiving value. Supporting the club is a lifelong even generational thing for people and I can still support the team from home like my dad now does. I can't wait though to take my four year old son eventually in the hope of getting him hooked like I did all those years ago.
  2. Two really good suggestions in Carroll and Powell to be fair and wouldn't hesitate in taking both. Good spot! Are you Riley in disguise? Don't know much about Bentley but presume you mean the Southend keeper? No doubt he'd be better than Guzan! Morrison isn't a bad option either and would do a job for sure. Centre half option would be Lewis Dunk for me. Joey Barton another I would be happy with. A couple of clever loans from some of the big boys and things could look a whole lot better without much spend.
  3. Clear he is out of his depth here. Needs to be removed as soon as possible before he inflicts more damage!
  4. Can't agree more, which is why I don't want Steve Bruce! The thought of Bruce/Black next season - no thanks!!
  5. The one in the squad that can excite and either can't play him because of some stupid salary clause or because Black has digged his heels in! Oh well, Bacuna and Richardson it is out wide then for the remainder of the season. Shame, he will no doubt leave now and will be one that will see blossom for someone else.
  6. Has to go in the summer! Not only because of his performances but if we are really serious with changing the culture around the club, he has to be shown the door. Bacuna is delusional if he thinks he can play for a regular Champions League club.
  7. Depends! With this squad, yes. However, new manager, possible takeover and clear out a large proportion of the wasters, who knows? Ever the optimist!!
  8. Congratulations to him but I still stand by what I said above, regardless of today. Our other midfielders can't hit a barn door and a couple of goals over a 38 game season isn't good enough. Should be a squad player at best next season.
  9. Have to say very disappointing to hear that he has refused to be sub and then not realised his mistake/apologised. No one should ever be above the club! Black would have looked weak if he had given in to him so fair play to him on that front. Another one then that can leave for all I care. To be honest there isn't many in this poor squad that I do like or care about. Major overhaul required at the end of season and Okore can join the clear out pile!
  10. Haven't even given Flores or Martinez a second thought, in the main because I thought they were both pretty secure in their current roles. I would have been happy with Dyche, Moyes or Pearson, but if either of Flores or Martinez lost their jobs, you would have to consider either of them surely.
  11. If it was the case of signing Adama or Lennon, I would pick Adama every time. Younger, better sell on value and must have seemed exciting for Sherwood and co at the time, signing a player from Barcelona. Moreover, Lennon has hardly pulled up any trees this season has he. Hope he stays but just can't see it to be honest. If the rumours are true re his wages, we simply cannot afford it surely next season.
  12. It's an X-file for sure! Bernstein and King to be filled "unsolved".
  13. I won't be renewing after six pretty crap years of being a season ticket holder. I made my decision over the Christmas holiday period and not because of today's announcement. Partly down to costs, family reasons and general lack of entertainment. In fact I won't be making our last two home games and have already given my tickets away. I will hugely miss attending but will pick and choose a few games to attend next season I'm sure. UTV
  14. Gabby has lost sufficient weight to be fit for Saturday!
  15. Yep, same one! Appears he has a lot of dosh. Bought a house in Mayfair for £80m
  16. Wang - He owns 20% of the Spanish football club Atlético Madrid.
  17. Gutted we didn't hear his Bacuna story just before 8.00pm. Staggers butted in and they went to the news. All he said was that he bumped into Bacuna at Birminham airport.........???
  18. Shaking my head still in disbelief. Can't just criticise Reilly here, as he must have told by the club to speak to Moyes! Total fools. Have to say, Stan does put up a good argument and it is hard to disagree with him.
  19. Just heard him - do you think that story can be true? Incredible!
  20. Crikey, just got in, read this thread and seen the letters! I've not commented much on the board matters at the club because in all honestly, I feel a little out of my comfort zone with it all but this really smacks of a complete meltdown. Five years the club has been on it's knees and now this. People who actually care about the direction of the club, resigning? What next Little? Whichever way you look at it, this isn't good and why have these letters been made public? Moreover, i don't see them wishing Lerner, Hollis well for the future either. How does any potential manager feel now? Have to say that I am more disappointed with this news today than I was with the realisation of relegation on Saturday, as least I was prepared for Saturday. Very disappointed and fear that we and other people that care about the club are being hoodwinked.
  21. Midfield is a big problem for us at present, we creative nothing, score nowt and never control a game from there. Veretout, Gana and possibly Sanchez will go. I would look at Charlie Adam, Leon Britton and wouldn't rule out Joey Barton for a season. Maybe even a loan or two from one of the Premiership big boys? Imagine Loftus-Cheek on loan til January.
  22. Have to say that I have been so disappointed with Lescott since joining really, what should have been a good signing (experience, leadership, influence etc), he appears to have been anything but! His negativity is astounding and criticism of fans hugely uncalled for. Why shouldn't we express our disappointment at individual performances and results? I'd be happy not to see him in our shirt again and be paid off at the end of the season. Good riddance to the MLS you word removed!
  23. Has to be moved on and not just because of his errors this season. We need confidence between the sticks next season and Guzan isn't the man I'm afraid. I know this comment should be in another thread but I've always liked the look of Marshall at Cardiff.
  24. No way he will be here next season, as he is one player in the squad that will bring in decent money and the club know this. Offers over £6m+ and we will take it I'm afraid. Agents also play a part in all this and his will be putting the feelers out if not already done so!
