We should be ok next season as well? Adidas extra £12m, Champions League extra £30m, Betano extra £14m, ticket price rises extra £5m, other commercial opportunities extra £4m. That's an extra £65m revenue on a base of £220m. Also if we can ship out a couple of our not needed players, and replace with similar wages for Emery/Monchi players, then our wage bill shouldn't go up much. So then it's just extra amortisation for new players.

What features don't you like? I think you can just avoid them if you want? I didn't like the fact that if i didn't want to do qualifying because i like starting at the back of the grid, then i lose acclaim by skipping it. You also couldn't skip the practice mini-game if you wanted the resource points. But i guess the game would be too easy if you could get all the points by skipping practice and qualifying.

Have you played the story mode as well - Braking Point 2? It's good fun, something a little different. A little too easy in some of the objectives on default difficulty. I hope F1 2024 expands on it to flesh out a full story over a full 20+ races.

So he's missed the whole season along with Mings and Buendia. And Kamara missing half of this season and half of next season. Has any other team actually had worse long-term injuries than Villa this season?

So £20m more just from finishing 2-3 places higher and being shown on TV a few more times? Nice. Or did the TV deal change between last season and this season? I think it was the same for both seasons though.

He's 29 years old, earning very good PL wages, and his next contract is probably going to be 10% of that. He's making a sensible decision in seeing out his contract here and staying professional whilst doing that. It's not his fault the team around him has massively improved whilst he has stayed at the level he was always at.

Ah fair enough. I actually like the Jacob and dark/light theme of the final season. The worst bit was when they found the lamppost and the boat and could get off the island but came back to it. Something like that, it’s been a long time since watching it.

To give some context around that… Indians who emigrated to the Uk in the last 50 years had no affiliation to any PL club. As they got into football, they ended up gravitating to the teams that were on TV the most and played the best football. That was inevitably Liverpool and Man Utd (depending on which decade they got into football). Once they became die-hard fans, they passed on their team to their kids, siblings, nieces and nephews… so now you have a whole generation of younger fans following their parents teams which is Man Utd or Liverpool (with a sprinkling of Arsenal).

A 3-4 point deduction still doesn’t drop them into the relegation zone. All they need to do is beat Luton and a couple of draws and that might be enough to keep them up. Or just match Luton’s results for the last 8 games.

I’m intrigued in the general sense and not to do with Israel or Gaza. If I am ordered to kill or torture someone with the consequence of not carrying out the order being my own death… and I carry out the order, can I use that as a defence for my actions?
