He put himself about plenty last night, better than Gardner, but to me both are ineffective. Both players are not good enough. We need midfielders to get a hold on the game and stamp their authority on it.

Interesting information, SV, but it could be said that that is why he is on loan to a lower league side - to make the mistakes and learn from them. Hopefully he will mature into a player who will be good enough for the Premier League, but time will tell.

Very true. In my time in business (now happily retired ) I worked with 2 separate clients where the sons blew the fathers fortunes. It is easier to spend money than it is to earn it.

So no one has said they hate him. So they have called him names, names I have heard other players being called. That does not make it right of course, but it does not in any way suggest what you say it does. It is never good to use words like `hate' lightly.

I simply want to say that if he helps us to promotion, that will be great, and fair play to him and Bruce. But that is his job, and a job we pay him handsomely to do, and whatever he does now, I cannot and will not forgive his behaviour over the last few seasons.

In Xia we certainly have the man with the qualifications to do it.

A simple rule change to have to play to the referee's whistle would do it. Referee just ensures that everyone is in position.

He didn't do so well for us either, so no, we didn't break him, he is just not good enough.

He has flair, but is really too lightweight. McCormack fighting through 4/5 defenders to put Ayew through - that is more what we need.

Not a must win game, but definitely a should win.

It cannot be denied we needed Kodjia; he has already shown his worth. But we needed cover for injuries or ACN, so we bought the best in the division - McCormack. But we needed a midfielder as well, not in stead of. Having said that, Tshibola is not being used.

I was very impressed with him earlier in the season when he was playing on a more regular basis. I guess Bruce does not see him or Tsibola as starters.
