His appearance is interesting. Certainly much more acceptable, I would think, for Xia's global image. Not suggesting, of course, that it is deliberate, given the time frame, but just interesting.

I think this is correct. I think I and many supporters will expect him to achieve results pretty much immediately. Otherwise why bother with such a mediocre appointment.

I would suggest it means little, and should certainly not be worrisome. Huddersfield fans may say he would be mad to join us and the Huddersfield board may say they hope to keep him, but that means nothing.

I am still of the opinion that Xia will go for a `name'. Global recognition is important to him. If not that, then at least having 'the look' of a manager going places.

I think the `promotion' - `safe mid-table' discussion is probably futile. I think that any manager coming in is bound to aim for promotion, not safe mid-table. If he were to aim for the latter he will be doomed to fail.

I suspect that Xia will go for the Wagner type of manager, or a `name'. I really do not think that Bruce and that type of manager will be Xia's choice, though he may well have someone like that chosen for him by Wyness and Round.
