I know what you are saying, RV, and I am really not expecting wonderful things from this team. But I have followed them down into the lower reaches twice before, and I never accepted that we were anything but a great club. I always felt then what I feel now, that we are a great club going through bad times and ill served by those at the top. Not necessarily those at the top now, I should say, that is something we will discover in due course.

I am not greatly enamoured with this team either, but I think they are better than they are showing at the moment. There is no teamwork or cohesion, and that has to be down to management. Other managers are doing better jobs with teams whose personnel do not appear to be on a par with ours. And I know our midfield is shit, but even so, we should be seeing better from the team as a whole. We have never achieved the quality of performance under Bruce we showed in the first half dozen games under RDM, when we were mostly unlucky not to win.

Why would you expect us to accept being in the Championship, or being sub-standard, which I assume is what you mean. I never will. I have enormous pride in who we are, and just because owners and managers are not good enough for our club does not mean I have to accept it.

I don't think that an uncommitted player will be Bruce's type of player, nor Xia's.

If he thinks a move to Rangers rather than staying at Aston Villa is a good career move - good luck with that.

I think he should have been starting games long before now. He is still young but very positive and with a lot of potential.

Well, the lad is getting very well paid to win our faith back. And if he had earned his ridiculous amount of money over the last few years he would not have to win our faith back. I know I am an unforgiving bastard, but it is too late.

Not sure if you may be joking. Tsibola played well, bettered only by Johnstone. Tsibola is a much better player than either Westwood or Gardner.

The attitude of these young players is incredible. They are getting too much money too soon, before they have earned it. For all the good it does us, just close the Academy, and spend the money on buying in the quality of players that will get us out of this league and into top 6 in the Premier League.

All strikers need multiple chances to score. It is the ratio that indicates their quality.
