  1. Big fan of KKH. Like Gabby, don't think his lower league stints are indicative of how he might perform in the Premier League. Some players can raise their game to the level.
  2. At the same time feel Brighton would have paid around £5M for him not £14M. If it works out - then happy days, but if it turn out to be like Wesley or Traore - same fans celebrating the signing will be ripping the club for financial mismanagement.
  3. Hopefully the next Benteke and not Keinan Davis. Fee seems very high for someone with limited experience. Even MLS and Chicago fans seem surprised by the fee.
  4. Really have to question what Lange is doing. We have not discovered any hidden gems. Wasted money on players that were never going to be first team regulars. Academy results have also been atrocious.
  5. Inconsistent in terms of scoring or attacking is understandable. Sloppy mistakes in dangerous situations are not.
  6. Generally not a Bailey critic, but tonight against Leeds he reminded of Traore. Flashes of brilliance but lots of mistakes that could have really cost us. He needs to be reined in.
  7. Thought we were really poor. Lucky to get all three points. Not sure how people are giving the manager performance as "very good"
  8. need to play a low block and counter. We don't have the composure to control the midfield.
  9. Total garbage. Worst half under Emery. Frustrating as it's obvious how Leeds were going to play. Leeds should have had a penalty and that offside was was sketchy.
  10. I met the band in Boston, USA many years back. Geezer is really the only fan. Having said that, if Villa created a Black Sabbath inspired 3rd kit or something to the likes (believe West Ham did some collab with Iron Maiden), I could see the band getting involved as it’s all about getting attention these days. Sharon knows this well.
  11. Player for player they are not. That is what makes me optimistic. We just need to hit our stride.
  12. Not sure this is stadium atmosphere related, but really like the new artwork Arsenal is putting on their stadium.
  13. I saw him at the World Cup. Was the most vocal and animated guy on the France bench. Along with his technical abilities, will bring the leadership and fight our squad is missing.
  14. I have this theory that maybe he does not score well on some of them health/data monitors that teams use these days, thus coaches think he is not fit or training hard when it's really a case of the monitors not being the right way to assess him. Kind of like kids who might do poorly on an IQ test but are bright and do well in school.
  15. Thought he had a good game until the brain freeze. I was actually considering him for MOTM.
  16. No issues with the lineup. Think at the end we should have been more pragmatic. Fact that we were playing a 4th tier side probably clouded judgement.
  17. Played well that half, but looked a step slow to me. Could just be a lack of match fitness.
  18. Yeah - but everyone was jumping up and down in glee when we signed Bailey and Digne.
  19. Looks like he has a World Cup hangover
  20. Definitely an opportunity to go on a cup run. Hope Emery takes it seriously.
  21. Not sell to buy, but sometimes refreshing or resetting the squad can have merit. For example, would be open to selling Ings and bringing in a striker who can press a bit more.
  22. Grealish Yorke Benteke Barry Martinez (maybe recency bias)
  23. He has to take on his man once in a while or make some intelligent passes. Always just stops and crosses.
  24. Would have loved to win, but it was a valuable point. We moved up a one place and none of the stronger sides below us (e.g. West Ham, Leicester) really gained ground.
  25. Don't mind the point on an off-day. Good adjustments and subs by Emery in the second half. Learning not to lose is part of the process.
