    Dorde Petrovic is a goalkeeper we should go for. Plays for New England in MLS. Would probably settle for a backup role if we find someone more experienced for the number 1 shirt. He's better than Matt Turner who Arsenal bought from MLS for $6 million.

    This. It's not the lack of goal involvements that is the problem but all the poor decision making, lack of aggression and his fragile nature that is super frustrating. Save the top line stat analysis for NBA and baseball players - it doesn't quite work the same way in football.

    Already checking off a few boxes at the age of 19. I'm excited! I felt the fee was very high, but a club like ours wouldn't spend that type of money unless we were very confident on his potential.

    Hope he breaks our PL goalscoring record as I cringe every time I see Gabby on top of the list, especially after the troll he has become in the football media.

    Lightweight and low IQ. Could offer something off the bench, but does not warrant a starting role.

    I am just not sure if we would get a similar performance out of Coutinho if he started. Some players are better coming off of the bench.

    I'm in the Unai or bust camp, so if it does not work out with him I will probably find a new obsession in life. Jazz music or something else that is a million miles away from football.

    The only clubs that have the star are Forest and Villa, basically because we have small man syndrome. Another consideration is that it was an accomplishment by our men's team so it does not really suit the women's team kits.

    He's just a little lightweight for me, but not a terrible player to have in the overall squad. His wages are another story.

    I just dont want to sign players that are going to be shipped out to Turkey in 12-18 months. Rather wait until the summer to land some real quality players. Also, I want Emery to use the next 18 matches to really evaluate our current squad. See if the likes of McGinn, Coutinho, Cash have the chops to play for him long-term.

    Think we need to hold on to Chambers for now. He is the only CB cover we have for the next few weeks and Emery likes to park the bus late in games when his teams have the lead.

    Similarly, I have PTSD related to the 18M+ we paid for Traore when we could have gotten him for much, much cheaper. Lyon were desperate to move him. Seems everyone but Villa knew it. Part of the reason I am skeptical about Lange and shudder when our fans think 10M for Dembele or 50M for Luiz Henrique is a good deal. It's monopoly money to some, I guess.

    I just worry there will be a bump in the road (e.g. 5 games without a win - a few draws in there) that will derail our hopes. It would mean we need to win something like 9 out of 13 matches in the other remaining games.

    Europe League attracts better quality of players, gives the club more exposure and is a backdoor way to get into the Champions League.
