  1. Generally AoA are just administrative in nature. Voting rights/roles of directors etc. It’s basically the constitution for a business. Generally in a closed shop ownership with the two owners who are directly linked it means nothing. Every Ltd company, or PLC for that matter, has AoA, most of the time people just use the template companies house ones. Generally it takes a week for account filings to show at companies house, however I note Villas are not due until 31st May due to the Covid extensions the govt gave. So it might be the case that Villa are yet to formally submit them, which they are well within their rights to do until end of May,
  2. Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I think Nakamba has really come on this year when I’ve seen him. His passing is far better than his first season. Perhaps he’s not good enough for where we want to go, but I think there are areas I’d like to see upgraded well before Defensive Midfield right now.
  3. Saw a bit of the youth cup game vs Burton, and although Barry took the plaudits Chukwuemeka looked the real deal to me.
  4. Absolute garbage since his injury. Ramsey above him in the pecking order now for me.
  5. Does anyone think we might have a chance at getting Wilf Zaha this summer?
  6. Our being debt free, despite making a £99.2mil loss, demonstrates that current FFP laws and long term financial stability are not extricably linked. Nassef and Wes have put their money where their mouth is. Another amazing thing is to consider that everyone got paid during lockdown, even casual staff, and not a penny of government relief was taken. Essentially, Nassef and Wes have paid to keep a lot of people going during these tough times when they had no benefit to do so - and still gave us a massive transfer budget. I hope these actions are never forgotten.
  7. I sense some incoming astronomical losses. £100mil+ territory. Interestingly on companies house, under a fairly standard update to article of association, you can see the vehicles which Wes and Nassef own the club through. Nassef through his Luxembourg based company, Nns Uk Gp Sàrl. And Wes through his Delaware based company, Aston Villa Investors GP LLC.
  8. I genuinely only saw the last 20mins and thought we were excellent. So I presume the other 70 must have been about the same yea?
  9. Harsh, but probably fair. I think a leaner, meaner Wes with a bit of focus could be a real asset. People forget that some of his finishing was excellent in his first season, and he has absolutely zero service. In fairness to Davis, he only plays in meaningless cup games and where we are losing and chasing the game. No player in recent Villa history has needed a loan move to progress than Keinan.
  10. Would really like to see Sanson in midfield with Jack playing where we are on the front foot. Newcastle would be a perfect opportunity. Sanson looked like a very intelligent player against wolves.
  11. That’s Sky’s football off season sorted. Channel 406 - Sky Sports Cabbages
  12. Going by Smith’s record of openness with injury updates, by saying he will miss Sheff Utd, but might make Wolves means that he’s equally likely to either play tomorrow or be completely out of action until April. I agree with Smith’s policy that said.
  13. To single him out in that game was poor. But the context makes that reaction worse. Elmo joined us at our lowest ebb for a couple of million 4/5 years ago, and even though he’s in the twilight of his career knowing he will be released in the summer does a decent job covering for Cash. Top professional.
  14. Never thought I’d say it, but you’re right. I cannot name a better keeper in world football right now.
  15. This man should be fondly remembered in 10 years time. Won’t hear a bad word against him.
  16. True. I thought he had a couple of years left at the end of this season, but he would be in his last year. Regardless, it will be nice to not have to carry large wages for fringe players for whom we have zero chance of selling.
  17. Oddly, I think the opportunity to strengthen the squad is boosted by our ability to move on fringe players this summer. If Hourihane keeps his form up and Swansea get promoted we could receive £8-10mil there. It’s been a long while since we’ve had squad players with transfer value.
  18. Dare I say Nakamba’s passing and touch have improved a lot since last season. He’s never going to be as good as Dougie, but he’s as honest as they come.
  19. This window could be the most exciting transfer window in Villa’s history if we finish top 6-7 and get Europe. £100mil on 2-3 players and we could be anything next season.
  20. What a player he is becoming, and only 25. Goes unnoticed but I think his reading of the game is superb, as evidenced by picking up the ball for the goal today.
  21. Name me 5 better keepers in world football and I’ll give you £100.
  22. We’ve had plenty of strikers go through spells without goals, but never have been less worried during one than with Watkins. Works so hard for the team and means the midfield is more active in the goals.
  23. A free hit for the title race on Wednesday. If we win that, things turn from a bit of a joke about our high flying credentials to sorta serious. But regardless, if we beat Newcastle not only are we flying again, but we put Spud one close to the sack. And they say football is cruel...
