This is true but we should at least try to stack the odds in our favour. No matter how good you think Gomez was before he got Ben Mee'd he has looked half the player since.

I think now is precisely the wrong time to be judging our players abilities. In our current form we could drag any player in the world down to our level.

The best place for him would probably be where he would get the most game time. If Swindon manage to go up I would certainly look at another loan with them in League 1 as we know they are trusting the players we are loaning to them and he will get a lot of game time

Exactly this. West Ham are a great example of a team that a couple of good signings and the emergence of a youth product can change an entire team into something so much more.

That's what I'm hoping. Once we no longer feel the need to control the ball and game, we might manage to nick a few goals on the break. Not sure it's a tactic that'll move us forward long term mind

I think it's simply that we've been so poor against two of the poorest teams in the league and that just makes its so difficult to see where the next win will come. We need a lucky, in off the arse, opposition hitting the posts/ crossbar type win in order to relieve a bit of tension.

Cash is an excellent right back when you primarily want your defender to defend but when playing our current system we basically need a winger who will occasionally wander into the right back area

That won't happen, the only way Gerrard leaves before next season is if we go down. He just needs to swallow his pride and become a bit more flexible so that he can get the best out of the players at his disposal

I'm going to push the boat out and say we will get three shots on target and one of them will go in. I don't know if that will be enough but that's where the excitement lies!

Obviously, that management approach works for some but not others. What ever the approach Gerrard is taking doesn't seem to getting the best out of anybody.

I'm sure all our players respect Gerrard as a player and as a person but I wonder if they are doubting his management abilities? It would explain why every single one of them is playing like turd.

I like how he comes across in the media and he seems like a good person, just a poor choice as manager. Not his fault though, he's out of his depth and shouldn't have been considered.

Whilst the squad is imbalanced the manager is getting no where close to the standard out of these players that he could and part of the imbalance is caused by the formation and tactic he is imposing. We have taken on a rookie manager and we are his training ground, some accept that others don't/ won't.
