  1. Coutinho just slipped in penalty area again
  2. We’re toss. We tippy tap it about 15 yards behind our half way line, as soon as we cross the half way line we hoof it, lose it then they attack. We can’t keep the ball to save our life and we a need at least one competent striker in the window. Shite.
  3. Not a dig on Stevie lol... I was just wondering if anyone who watches any more PL football that just Villa notices a preponderance of other teams always slipping over at a crucial moment. Last night vs Liverpool was noticeable to me. Is it the studs / blades too short, or are we massively over watering the pitch to gain some kind of advantage and that just makes us slip over a lot negating said advantage. Really confused as why we don't sort it out.
  4. I'd say they are almost at Betamax level at the moment, i can't remember the last thing i watched on Netflix since all the Marvel stuff was taken away by Disney. They expect to lose another 2 million subscribers next year, and are planning on cutting down on account sharing and I've also heard they are considering adverts in shows. Would have to be quite a turnaround.
  5. Yep, it pushes a lot of people out of the market, and then the other side effect is that property is also then an investment as well as somewhere to live.
  6. It’s basic economics though. If ‘people always needs houses’ then the prices will continue to rise, as that indicates a lack of supply. I can’t see massive investment in affordable housing being high on any current or future government’s priorities right now, they don’t even care if we can’t afford to eat or have the heating on.
  7. I would say that the best time to buy a house is as soon as possible, as they seem to be escalating in price alarmingly.
  8. How would your calculations look if interest rates jumped up a few percent?
  9. I’m not so sure, tending towards decline. We could (theoretically) have two Buendia level players for what he would cost. Saying that, we wouldn’t be able to play those two in Coutinho’s place, so strong team, or strong squad seems to be either choice.
  10. One who can score and knows when to pass please
  11. I've been on the fence a bit with SG, and having watched pretty much every match this season, I'm starting to think that giving him next season based on current form is a really bad idea. I think he should be judged on the rest of this season, before even considering giving him next season and a massive transfer kitty. If he can't motivate the current players to play like they did in some stages vs Tottenham for the rest of this season, then I don't think he's the right person for Villa, unfortunately. Giving him massive transfer funds after not being able to lift a supposed top half squad (including Coutinho ffs) to win and move us up the table would be a massive mistake, imo. I don't see any kind of tactical awareness, little signs of him actually sticking to his word and replacing poorly performing players, his substitutions are shockingly bad, and usually too late. I can see some signs of him using youth, but i do wonder if this is more in desperation than judgement. I'd love for him to prove me wrong here, but I just can't see him being any good at the moment.
  12. Doesn't deserve a new contract at all based on recent performances. I'd be well disappointed if he got a pay rise after displaying both 50p head and feet.
  13. Do you also send your kids to the chippy to get fish and chips for everyone, and give them 50p? 6 foot tall DM with intelligence. 20m - where the hell are we going to find a smart DM that has the correct physicality that isn't already on the books of some other big club?, those attributes won't cost anything less than 50m.
  14. Russia has never really had a democracy, so most Russians haven’t experienced it. So it’s probably a bit naive to overlay a western democratic value system onto another country. Naive sounds harsh though. It’s natural to assume people think the same. Russia had the Tsars, then the Communists, then a brief period of almost democracy with Yeltsin(?) until the former KGB basically retook over the country under Putin and here we are. (My understanding may be wildly inaccurate, do your own reading etc).
  15. I'm not sure how many times he can do an interview and say the players aren't responding / good enough / have to work harder until they all just say go f yourself, not a great position to be in really.
  16. I think both give you opportunity to roll up your sleeves.
  17. To be fair, I haven’t seen us this angry at things like losing a throw in for ages. Mentality seems a bit tougher to me today
  18. New mattresses needed
  19. I had mine done a few years back as an adult. The main choice is local vs general anaesthetic (do you want a needle in your cock, or to be knocked out), I chose the former, but didn't realise until said needle was produced lol. Chatting about things with the surgeon while he did the operation was weird, recovery wasn't that bad, apart from the initial shock and swelling. Saying that, it's miles better now than what it was.
