Good call KSV...this kid can play. I'm only guessing (who really knows other than Neil Lennon?), but he may not be playing a lot of minutes at Celtic because Lennon has no reason to change the team, and a player 'in the hole' may not suit his system? While he's not the big name player people are dreaming of, he could quite possibly provide us with exactly the sort of player we have been craving. For next to nothing. Over to you Paul!

Right, finally got a chance to have a look at the on-line shop and the new kits, and I have to say that I like them! Macron's attention to detail is spot on, and I think the kits are spot on. Once squad names and numbers finalised, i'll be throwing some of my hard earned on a home kit with Benteke 9 on the back.

To be fair, I think Holman played like a bloke who hadn't played a competitive game for 3 months. Yes, his performance was not great, but he was not helped but an overall poor performance of the entire side. That said, Ali Habisi (the Wigan keeper) repeated his usual string of ridiculous saves, particularly from Tim Cahill, and a solid header from Holman. For Villa, I think Holman can still play a part. The goal would have given him great confidence, and we all reckon we need to shoot more from distance. He's proven again that he can score from long range. Emerton & Kewell haven't played for Australia for some time, and I doubt whether either will ever again to be honest. May as well bring back Viduka!

He's worth at least 20M in current terms, scoring goals in a below average side, young and plenty to learn. If we go down, he's gone, probably to a Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea. If we stay up, he will only stay with SIGNIFICANT investment IMO. An improved wage would obviously need to be another carrot!

I liked what I saw of Sylla. Yes, only a cameo really when we were under the pump, but he will add something to the team. Big future if we can stay up....

The aussie team that played hong kong had something like 8 debutants, and almost none of the team could be considered 'regulars', with the exception perhaps of Luke Wilkshere (Dinamo Moscow), and Brett Emerton (ex-Blackburn, now Sydney FC). As the East Asia tournament is not on a FIFA date, mostly A-League players have been used. That said, they were pants! But this is in no way reflective of the Australian talent playing around the world who were not included.
