    we didn't get this one on Fox Sports over here, but from all reports above it seems that we did what we had to do. The next 5 games will be a real test, but one we can really tackle head on. BTW, love that quote from MON about Carew.....would love to be at that party!! and you can imagine MON in the background in a Groucho Marx-style disguise.....

    Some of your best work OBE....whatever you do for a living I think you should consider writing reports, its a gift mate. BTW, we sure have some good prospects in the reserves, especially against a SHA side that had such a high percentage of first teamers.

    This^^^. Ref made a farce of the game, unbelieveable decisions around the park for both sides. We weren't great, but were the better side for the larger part of the game. Like someone else said, 1 point dropped (as a draw looked the most likely result). Win at Bolton on the weekend. Oh, and all the "MON out" overreactors....GET A GRIP!

    Really excited about the game this weekend.....it is actually on at a sociable time here in Australia (around 10PM), which is a nice change! My Chelsea supporting mate has asked for a 1 goal start, for the first time in many years he is nervous about this game....reckons we are their 'bogey-team'. I'll be getting on the Villa for a 3-2 win (paying 40-1 here!!). UTV!!

    yeh, I'm torn too.....but leviramsey has convinced me... SHA to win. this also fits nicely with the annual bet i have with my spurs supporting mate....just collected on last season's bet and enjoyed 18 holes at one of Brisbane's finest golf courses....

    Spot on Ponky on both points.....alot of teams got a serious wake up call on the weekend (not just us)....Everton, Liverpool, maybe even ManU and Chelsea. Bring it on!

    good summary Rocafella, have to agree. very very disappointed with our performance. we created nothing and looked vulnerable to every attack....and with due respect, it was wigan FFS. my "big 4" mates (bandwagoners) have been winding me up since the game finished (it was 2am here in Australia and that didn't stop them.....).

    My junior club - how I became a Villa supporter!!! I agree with all of QldVilla's comments here general. I know you have said before that a visit to Down Under is not in the plans in the foreseeable future, however if the FA 'encourages' this to happen then there sure would be a lot of supporters here who would be absolutely ecstatic.

    without it wanting to be an insult, most improved generally means "not as shit as he used to be" OR "previously a humpty, now not so bad". I have always rated Bouma, and am more happy with his rise in form than his acceptance by the fans. Nevertheless, give the man a trophy.... BOUMA.
