  1. What makes you draw that conclusion? Because he is in a picture with new signings? This doesn't mean he won't be sacked after the city game, a 9-0 hammering usually means the sack these days. If there were no pictures with the manager, everyone here would see it as a sign he's clearly gone.

    Douglas Luiz

even if the youngsters step up, it's still £25m we will not get and instead have a (potentially) unhappy player for the remainder of the season.
  3. New manager bounce against Leicester and then go on a 4 game run or let a new manager start with a hammering. I'd prefer the former. Just hope it won't be 9-0 for ManC this weekend.
  4. Mings was on loan second half of the season, does that count? McGinn still plays on championship level though
  5. Erik black says hi di Matteo was rubbish as well gerrard is bad, but not worst in history.
  6. He needs some time on the bench. We'v all seen that on his day, he is a great player for us, but those days haven't been around for a while. No shame in being out of form, but if continues this long, it doesn't help the player to still start every week. Let him fight for his place in the side, not grant him immunity. The armband doesn't change that for me.
  7. Chelsea had a season like that a few years ago didn’t they? Not really in a relegation battle, but around 14-15th throughout the season. Imagine ManU doing that, ‘rock bottom’ for them.

I don’t know if he is the saviour, but I like the way Buttigieg is handling the spotlights as secretary. He was a nobody last election, but not anymore. He is a Vet, so difficult for conservatives to attack, but he does go on Fox regularly and always counters them correctly. He is also gay, so something for progressives to rally behind, while I believe he is a centrist Dem. Something for everybody.

  10. €40million bid apparently, but the player prefers Milan. Brugge want €35m at least and Milan only offered €32m. De Ketelaere wasn’t too keen on Leeds as he wants to play for prizes, but it would probably be the better move as he’ll get plenty of game time at Leeds.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jul/09/texas-woman-ticket-abortion-roe-v-wade interesting to see where this leads to. Is it a person or not? I wouldn’t be surprised to see pregnancy being used in tax returns as well
  12. Just read a few reactions on FOX news (you know, the only news channel that brings the truth, (unless it doesn't suit them)). Apparantly the shooter was a Trump supporter, present on Jan 6th, but because he looks like Antifa with his ugly tattoos and hair, the consensus on there is that he is a lefty loser. These are not opinions but facts.

Nice gesture of those companies, but their employees are not going to be the ones impacted the most. They have steady jobs, probably reasonably paid, so they could traven on their own (for moet of these companies). unemployed women will be impacted the most. I’m curious how they are going to be checking on these women in no abortion states. Will they be examined at the border? Or Will it just be a random person claiming you were pregnant making you a suspect?

You could also say the evangelicals have now less reason to vote for him. He can’t promise to overturn Roe anymore, it’s done. That argument now lies with the democrats, reinstate Roe or an equivalent. I read Freakonomics a while back. It stuck with me that it argued that about 20 years after Roe v Wade, crime rates dropped since there were less children born into poverty or foster care. We’ll see in 20 years if that argument was true.
  15. He's not a real CF, more a winger. He can play there though, but is not a natural finisher
  16. Well, if they sell Phillips for big money (which they will if it's ManCity), they will be able to replace someone who didn't play for most of the season. Everyone coming in is then on top of their horrible team that barely escaped relagation. To me, that's them adding to their squad and therefore improving.
  17. Anderlecht are a financial mess. They do not have the buying power they once had and used a lot of loans to fill their squad in recent years. Brugge is the dominant team now and Antwerp is throwing money around to catch them. kompany had to work under difficult circumstances, used a lot of youth but still should have done better given the players he had in the end.
  18. I thought BOTW2 was scheduled for the end of this year. Christmas is always a good time to launch games
  19. half of those games were in the second division though. He scored 26 in 37 in first division, which is still very impressive but to give a comparison, Samatta once scored 20 in 28 in the same league. This could still go either way. I wouldn't mind having a sister club abroad or in the championship however.
  20. Just looking at a the table, it's going to be about who we are competing with. SKy6 will probably claim 6 positions in top 6-7, I don't think we'll overtake any of these. ManU will not have a season like last, Chelsea with their new owner will probably invest, the others will probably be around the same level. From all the teams we have between us and 7th, I think we can/should overtake Brighton, Palace and Brentford. Wolves, Leicester and West Ham are more established sides than us, they might drop off a bit, but we can't be sure before the end of the transfer window (eg: what if WHam lose Bowen or Rice, what if Leicester lose Thielemans). Newcastle will probably spend big. Everton will not have a season like what they just had, but I don't expect them too high either. Top 10 should be the aim, anything higher would be a good season.
  21. an encyclopaedia of jobs if you will, that will challenge him a bit.
