  1. I would think (hope) many don't want to sell him (I don't) but I can see that he's probably our 3rd or 4th best CB but probably paid like our 1st or 2nd best. 31 in March and with a recent ACL, he's probably on the list of players most at risk of being sold to generate some FFP cash. I love Mings, always have, but I think it's a big risk to sell Carlos and rely on him after such a big injury, particularly as Pau is likely to miss games himself. But I can see the 'sensible' thing to do may be to move Carlos on and buy younger and cheaper as he is probably paid more than his positioning in the squad
  2. I'd like to keep everybody tbh and replace Dendoncker, Zaniolo and Lenglet but it's not realistic. The trouble we have is knowing what we have in Mings, Buendia and Kamara when they return from some pretty serious injuries. The assumption is they get back to where they were, but they are all older and with more serious injuries than Ramsey had and it's taking him 4-6 months of being eased in to find his form again. I think £30m for Diego & Digne is semi-realistic and with wages saved, probably sensible. I wouldn't be surprised to see us cut our losses and selling Duran, I also wouldn't rule out us selling Buendia (I really hope.not), to generate some cash for replacing the loaners and Dendoncker. Iroegbunam having a great few months could save us some money on Donks replacement. A lot riding on the Young Fullbacks performing too. If those 3 (Kosta, Sousa, Tim) all do well, we could really invest in a key player or two at CB or in attack.
  3. I'm going with 7. Luton W Spurs L West Ham W Wolves D
  4. He's got nearly everything back apart from his shooting boots.
  5. No but they are good enough to beat us if they turn up how they can do. Hard draw. We should win really, but not going to be easy
  6. We should go and hire the design agency who developed that Lille badge to do ours..
  7. Came to post this, what a clearing in the woods
  8. I imagine the silence is because they know we'll get bored. They'll announce the badge almost as is when we (hopefully) qualify for the Champions League or win the Conference League
  9. Unai's subs have been emblematic of our poor form lately. I've disagreed with them for a little while but he has more than enough credit in the bank. Today though, we got worse every time he interfered with the team on the pitch. He set us up well, the game plan was spot on. We played well. So my vote of "Poor" is definitely harsh. But aside from missed chances, I feel like the players mostly did their job today, substitutions let them down and cost us 3 vital points in what could very likely be a crucial 6 Pointer
  10. They wanted £15m and we pay £10m until he proves he's worth the extra £5m. Posters who say this baffle me because would be complaining we rolled over too much if we just paid the asking price every time we wanted a player
  11. I know nothing about him or even what position he plays. But I am 100% confident we should get involved in this transfer with a view to him replacing Duran as a backup to Watkins. He is clearly an Ollie Regen https://www.instagram.com/p/C2pE-RBITGQ/?igsh=ZDE1MWVjZGVmZQ==
  12. Fair result. Can’t understand why we saw so few changes and so late too
  13. Let off there. Lenglet not switched on at all
  14. Have to make the most of this spell. Good time to get Bailey on
  15. Ah the race to be able to say "I told you so" or "It was always obvious we wouldn't finish there" has moved to this thread I see. 3 points clear with half a season to go. Dream a bit ffs. If you cant enjoy this season, you may aswell find something else to do as you'll never find happiness in this sport. Even if you've waited what, 30 years for us to get back to the European Cup / Champions League and you're already fighting to say you were here early enough to call us missing out on it... honestly, what's the point?
  16. Missed a lot ofposts since - but is that definitely how it works as I was fairly confident that they had to spend 3 Years here before their 21st birthday - and obviously Kosta can't quite do so, as he turned 18 at the start of December, so will be a 4-6 weeks short of the deadline to count as Homegrown on his 21st birthday
  17. One thing in the back of my mind is that a lot of the reasoning for Lerner's original badge and not including detail within the lion was to make it reasonably cost effective to produce on the shirts, it was (allegedly) in part to keep Nike happy. Will be interesting to see how Adidas approach this, either the technology has changed as was posted with some of the gold designs a few days ago (but mostly focused on National teams / limited edition shirts)... Or I wonder whether we'll see another bump in cost of fan shirts in order to execute the badge as hoped.
  18. Difference is Everton and Forest have admitted that they're in breach of the rules. City will never
