  1. Yeah balls of steel to stick with it after Half Time. I've wanted us to play like that for years, but after the first half yesterday I thought we needed to change it, we were constantly pegged back, we looked like a catastrophic error could happen at any minute. Then after half time, we just carried on, but with more focus, more confidence and looked a different team despite continuing to play the same way. Emery is a genius
  2. Nevermind, just found it. Ollie has a chance to do something that has only happened at this club once in the last 123 years and outright win the Top Flight Golden Boot. Last joint winner: Peter Withe 1980/81 with 20 Goals (same as Spurs' Steve Archibald) Last outright winner: Tom Waring 1930/31 with 49 Goals Full List - Peter Withe 1980/81 (20, w/ Spurs' Steve Archibald) - Andy Gray 1976/77 (25, w/ Arsenals Malcolm Macdonald) - Tom Waring 1930/31 - 49 Goals - Harry Hampton 1911/12 (25, 3-way tie w/ David McClean from Sheff Weds & George Holley Sunderland) - Billy Garraty 1899/00 - 27 Goals - Fred Wheldon 1897/98 - 21 Goals - John J. Campbell 1895/96 (20, w/ Derby's Steve Bloomer)
  3. When is the last time a Villa player won the Golden Boot?
  4. We have such a huge opportunity the next 13 days. European Semi Final and 9 Points clear in 4th place awaits..with our only competition needing to win their 3 games in hand to just equal us: Vs Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool... We have to take the chance
  5. That's only the second game Arsenal have lost at home in the league all season. And we'll be the only team to do the league double over them this season. It's impressive against any Arsenal side but this version of Arsenal is the best we've seen in probably a decade, so even more so
  6. Unai is incredible Zaniolo MOTM for me but could have been one of many, Carlos I assume wins it, was a mountain today Carlos, Emi and McGinn all with claims. Rogers very good too. Ref was OK
  7. No Dougie No Kamara No Ramsey No Mings No Buendia No problem. Double over Arsenal without our first choice midfield. The guy is simply incredible. A complete mastermind. How **** ing lucky we are.
  8. I'd assume Duran for him and 2 up top. But I think that's a risk
  9. Moreno & Martinelli both into LW positions, imagine both managers think a quick break is what wins the game here.
  10. Ah of course. He's been alright today but completely forgot about him
  11. Who plays striker for them now with Jesus and Trossard off? Martinelli with ESR LW and Saka RW?
  12. £60m Smith Rowe on. Hopefully a quiet one from him
  13. Tbh I think that would have been much harsher, the ball is kicked at Havertz from a shorter distance and his arm is closer to his body and the angle was different. Youri didn't have a lot of time to react either but he had more and his arm was outstretched
  14. Martinelli is one of those players I get really nervous when he plays against us. He's underrated imo in this Arsenal team, I don't like the idea of his pace against us
  15. Diaby came off a couple mins ago for Bailey
  16. Could barely hear Lille fans from the upper holte today. Could see lots of movement so they were clearly making noise but drowned out where we were. Hope it sounded similar on the TV. Was a bit frustrated at how many Blues chants there were and it was difficult to get going again after we conceded, but overall the atmosphere was good - ears hurt a big from the rafters being banged!
  17. It doesn't matter how many times I see this kind of comment but it brings a smile every time
  18. Preston 1 - 1 Huddersfield, shame Millwall 1 - 0 Leicester, nice
