  1. NOT AS DESPICABLE AS THE NATIONAL TRUST TRYING TO ERASE CHRIST OUR LORD FROM THE SOCIAL CONSCIOUSNESS!
  2. You're not kidding. I try to not have favourites because I don't like it in real managers, but sadly I fall foul of sticking with players when they're playing garbage. I also find with Villa it's hard to blur the lines between reality and the game, so for instance right now Adomah is playing absolutely awful. I've just won the EFL with 5 games spare, and am on course for 115-120 points. It's been a crazy season. His rating is below 7 though, which is a no-no for me. I really like him IRL though so it'll be hard to sell him. I've already agreed a deal to bring Johnstone in for £2m in the summer, but will also get another keeper. Tony's given me about £35m to spend. Current line up is a 4-1-2-3: Johnstone; De Laet, Chester, Ziereis, Amavi; Uysal; Hourihane, Lansbury; Ivan, Grealish; Kodjia. I'm finding Amavi, Hourihane, Lansbury and Grealish to be pretty inconsistent, but the others are generally good. Ivan has his ups and downs but is only just 20. Beat the likes of Atletico and PSG to get him, so want to grow him. Green went out to Barnsley on loan and has been superb for them. He'll be worth about £7m when he gets back.

  4. I love that you know (and post) stuff like this. I try to stay as educated as I can on current affairs and politics, but some things require either too much research or a genuine in-depth knowledge of the subject that I just don't have. Cheers!
  5. I can imagine Donald Trump rubbing his hands with glee if it turns out to be Islamic terrorism. It'd almost be as if him and Putin were mates, and Putin needs to get some more support for Trump so he can maintain his grip on the White House. Or it could have been Islamic terrorism. It's sad that both are equally plausible at this stage.
  6. Sort of like a biblical JK Rowling? I wouldn't rule it out. My understanding of it all was that it's basically folklore and legend that varied by region and according to who was telling the story. Eventually it got committed to paper and became the one version of the truth. The truth being a man who came back to life after being crucified and left in a cave, a talking elephant with two legs and four arms, and David Icke.
  7. @limpid No, they've taken that functionality out. Makes me wonder if they get kick backs off the advertisers too.
  8. Yep - that seems to be the issue @BOF. There's also no option to manually run plug-ins so everything is full pelt at all times.
  9. It's definitely a general Chrome issue that it's a resource hungry app. I Googled around (ironic) and found that it's a common issue with Macs and Chrome. Using another browser can save hours in battery, apparently. In the Activity Monitor there were several entries for Chrome Helper Tool, each accounting for several hundred MB. Safari is fine, but there are no Favicons and I rely on them a lot, so Firefox is looking like the best option right now.
  10. I always knew you had a lot in common with Leandro Bacuna.
  11. Probably not ideal for my line of work. Alright for browsing in Starbucks though I've ended up going through Safari, Opera, Vivaldi and now Firefox this morning. Gonna stick with Firefox for now. Not used it for years, but it seems to have the visuals and functionality I need.
  12. How did anyone get on with this? I'm finding that Chrome is just eating way too much memory on my Mac so I'm looking for an alternative. Don't like that Safari doesn't allow Favicons so I need an option. Help!
  13. And today he looks like the result of Mr T and Limahl having a baby...
  14. If you buy a rundown, once-grand, house the first thing you do is fix the roof - not hang up nice wallpaper and curtains.
  15. Importantly, he's a better player than when we signed him. He's making better runs and he's showing more composure. If the next stage of development is his support play, we're really going to have a player on our hands.
  16. Open Google Maps on your phone. Be delighted. Come back and share your joy.
