  1. Is it the correct pronunciation, though? A fairly solid majority of Spanish speakers would say that it's not: the "th" thing is pretty much only found in Castillian and other non-Andalusian dialects of Spanish. Andalusia, the Canaries, and the whole of Spanish-speaking America observe seseo. And also, a Castillian speaker would pronounce it Balenthia. So trying to pronounce it Valencthia is just wrong and doesnt reflect the correct pronounciation of any of the main Spanish dialects. It's just how an English speaker who 'thinks' they're saying right would say it, but they're not and it just sounds silly. Stick to Valenseea is my advice.
  2. The thread in the main forum entitled: McLeish: 'I want meet disgruntled fans - face to face Can a mod please add the 'to'.
  3. Just enjoy the summer off ! I barely even think about the footballing side of things on this site these days. Next season we won't win the league, we won't go down, we will win games we aren't expected to and lose games we shouldn't . It will be same old same old and your life will continue as normal . Have a sail on the mayonnaise sea and a biscuit and watch some Stewart Lee. You'll be fine. Add to this: We'll either go out early on in the cups, or we'll get quite far, but not actually win any...and your post perfectly sums up the sheer monotony of being a Villla fan.
  4. Just had a WhatsApp message from a mate who works as an odds compiler for one of the big high street bookies - he reckons that McLeish will start as favourite when they open the market for the Premier League 'Sack Race' i.e. first manager to be relieved of their position in the new season.
  5. McLeish has a 25% win record in the Premier League.
  6. Bollocks! That thread was entirely serious and you know it. Even if it wasn't then it was blatant PFE and a pathetic attempt to get a reaction, which is surely against the site rules, and is something you should be aware of considering you've been around so long.
  7. That advert for snatch.com "I like...old movies" "Like the Godfather...3" **** off and die both of you. The chick especially - I don't know what it is about the shape of her mouth that annoys me so much. I just wanna smash my fist into it.
  8. I really hope this isn't true! The fact is that he has a wealth of other experience which surely outweighs his lack of Premier League experience. This is a man who: - Has won major trophies as a player and manager. - Has player alongside and managed some of the best players to have played the game. - Has worked under some of the world's best managers. - Has played/worked in several different countries across Europe. - Has played for two of the world's biggest football clubs. - Has been brought up on playing attractive football. - Has worked with some of the world's (then) most promising youngsters. - Has experience as an international manager. - Has managed one of the world's biggest football clubs. If Randy has decided that he's not up to the job, then fine, but if it's just because he doesn't have "Premier League experience" then it's the most backward logic I've heard in a long time.
  9. This crazy ass thought has suddenly occurred to me after reading a crazy ass thread which has now been locked... I want MON back! I think Randy should go, cap in hand, with a sorry card and a big beautiful bouquet to MON's house and beg him to come back. We weren't far off 4th place under MON. We just needed that 'something else'. Well you know what - we've now got it - that 'something else' is Darren Bent. MON can make us hard to beat again. Darren Bent can get us the goals that we at times desperately missed under O'Neill; especially at home. Robertson can find and nurture the next Ashley Young and Walford can sort the defence out again. It'll be perfect. Who's with me?
  10. It's going to be Hughes, isn't it. Can someone who's voted for him please sell him to me because I'm feeling totally underwhelmed by the prospect of him being our next manager.
  11. What a great day! It's been amazing to see the inbreds sit in their seats and blub their eyes out!! **** off back to where you deserve to be, you shit little outift. All together now: "We'll meet again, don't know wherrrrre, don't know wheeeeennnn, but I know we'll meeet again some sunny dayyyyyyyyyy"
  12. There was an amusing Darren Bent thread in 'Other Football' but it seems to have been mysteriously deleted. That should have been put in the Hall of Fame so that people could have a good old laugh at themselves/others as it contained some comedy amateur punditry. My favourite comment was: "Gabby and Big John are better".
  13. You and Carlos don't happen to be friendly with Mikel Arteta as well do you? Just wondering as a mate of a mate is really good friends with him.
  14. I love Dazza! I get a proper hard on everytime he scores. Worth every penny of the outlay.
  15. Coyle should be our next manager. Bolton are having a MUCH better season than we are. *Checks league table* Oh!
  16. I think you've already identified the most pimpish room that you can get in Brum. The only other suggestions I have would be: The Principle Suite at Hotel Du Vin. The Penthouse @ Staying Cool (at the Rotunda). The Presidential Suite at the Hyatt.
  17. Off to Barcelona tomorrow. Waheyyyy! Suck my balls, losers x
  18. If five goals in nine games is not performing, then I hope Bent carries on 'not performing'. We knew what we were getting with Bent - a player who's game is almost purely based on goals. This is what we're getting from him. I don't see how he's 'not performing'. Bradley was a loan; a US international and worth a look. Makoun clearly needs time. I want Houllier out as well, but blimey! Some people take it way too far even to the point of seemingly making stuff up.
  19. I don't remember anyone saying that they'd nailed Fearne. There was a discussion on here about the fact that she was a proper filth bag but I think that was it. They're both decent looking women, but neither are really my thing; out of the two, however, I'd go for Fearne - purely for the filth factor.
  20. People who are snobbish about footballers not being educated. Oh, so they probably haven't got any A-Levels or a poxy degree? Who gives a shit. Whilst you were in your room studying hard like a good little student, so you could get A grades in your GCSEs, that footballer was probably out in a field kicking a football somewhere. When you were picking up your A-level results at school, and jumping for joy because you got the grades Mummy was expecting, that footballer had probably made his first team apperance as a professional and was celebrating goals in front of thousands of fans. When you're trudging into a souless job every day, doing the 9-5, in a job you probably hate, that footballer is working three/four hours a day, doing something he absolutely loves, and is picking up more money in a year than you'll probably ever earn in your sodding life. But that doesn't matter because he hasn't got a degree in Geography or Political Sciences. :bonk:
  21. You're going dark, aren't you? Is that because it's been shown to improve a woman's chances of getting laid.
  22. No contest - dark (head) hair all the way.
  23. Someone is on the slippery slope. It starts with stuff like this and then the banter gets pushed further and further until you reach total carnage. Good work.
  24. I'm going to Berlin on a Stag Do in July. Where's the best place to go for cheap beer and (cheap) women?
