  1. Where can I see the goals? #beinganidiot
  2. How do you mean? As if they are the dishes? "I am a scrumptious steak and ale pie. served with properly seasoned crunchy chips or creamy mash, thick mushy peas and lashing of gravy." Like that?
  3. You must show no mercy...nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you...for your greatness will silence them all.
  4. I like him. I like the way he moves. He's very good at creating space for himself and putting defenders off with a little roll of his shoulder type move. Watch out for it. Bit like how you see a big cat move (Which is fitting now he's part of the pride) Sort of like this But standing up and not as overt obviously but still...

    Keinan Davis

His introduction had a huge impact today. Really shook Wednesday up. Injected physicality and presence into our performance. Fair play to him.
  6. Fantastic quality to grab that game by the scruff of the neck. Especially in the second half he dictated the flow and turned it to our advantage.
  7. We've been broken down To the lowest turn Bein' on the bottom line Sure ain't no fun Hold on
  8. If Grealish, Adomah, Davis, Grabban, Tuanzebe, Green and Kodija are all out, I'd be tempted to play Johnstone Elmo---------Chester---Terry---------Hutton Jedinak Doyle Hayes---------------O'Hare Snodgrass Hogan----------------RHM And have some of Lansbury, Hourihane, Onomah, Whelan and Taylor on the bench (but that is of course very midfield heavy.) I was close to putting Bjarnasson in instead of Jedinak for his mobility but I'd have him on the bench instead for his utility benefits. I think it would be better to have Jedinak. He reads the game better and has the strength and aerial ability to protect the back four. Those abilities would also help support the two youngsters in front of him who would bring a lot of energy themselves. I know Doyle-Hayes played for the U23s the other day but he played well (??? he's the captain I think ???) and I'd like to see him get some first team minutes. I really like him and think the first 11 could do with his energy and determination. There may be some issues coping with physicality and there may be a bit of naivety in the middle with their inclusion, but, I'd hope their enthusiasm and perseverance would help close Wednesday down. I understand the discussion of easing players in but this for a short time whilst coping with injuries. Plus, and I know there are negatives in the sense players can become disillusioned, but I am of the philosophy of 'the more you experience, the quicker you learn.' On the subject of energy and desire, it would be interesting to drop those otherwise regular names to the bench to see if it's a well-needed rest or kick up the bottom to discover if they possess the desire to fight for their place in training or cram their 90 minutes into a substitute opinion. (They'd also be there if the gamble didn't pay off but that's not gonna happen) I suppose that starting line-up would have an unknown quantity and that could work for us. I think Snodgrass is close to needing a rest as he's been through the wars recently, but, with the injuries, I'd keep him involved with a bit of freedom behind the forwards with plenty of options available to him in that central role. A similar thing could happen in the DM role, sitting in front of the back line but have 6 or 7 immediate passing options if people show for him. (Which I think those particular players around him would) RHM, Doyle-Hayes and O'Hare have pace too which would be a nice injection into the team. Whatever the line-up, I hope we display bravery and intent to make Wednesday worry about us as an attacking force. I shall say 2-0 Villa

Excellent point. Grabban seems to be quite good at this.
  10. If Grealish and Adomah are out Johnstone Elmohamady---Terry---Chester---Tuanzebe Snodgrass---Jedinak---Hourihane---Hutton Grabban---Hogan Keep the confidence and concentration as Fulham play good football but nonsense to the 'more you win, the more likely you are to lose' mentality 2-0 Villa

    John Terry

I think he was very clever with the N'Dopey interaction. There was a good chance Jedinak was going to get up and jump into something that would have at best resulted in a yellow card each, which obviously would have still seen the blues player dismissed but with a good chance Jedinak and possibly a few others joining the early bath brigade. Terry got in the way, took over and knew exactly what to do to make sure only one player said goodbye and we remained with a full set. You may think I'm giving him too much credit but in my opinion this is how perceptive the experienced Terry is with these type of things.
  12. Only a brief cameo but I liked his movement and the way he imposed himself on the defense. Seems to be quite an intelligent forward in that sense and brings an attribute we have needed up front.
  13. Consistently took the ball from Blues players and they couldn't return the favour without fouling him.
  14. He'll score tomorrow. I don't mean with a lady or in the wrong net or any other hilarious deliberate misunderstanding of what I mean
  15. I'd play Johnstone Elmohamady---Terry---Chester---Hutton Snodgrass---Hourihane---Bjarnasson---Adomah Grealish Hogan I'd keep the same team barring any injuries but keep the bench ready, people like Grabban and Tuanzebe, just in case anything needs changing early on. Grealish will receive some attention all game, he's going to have to be at the top of his game and keep a level head. I have faith that he will. It's going to be a tough match but I think if we keep our composure and are clinical, will win. I'm going to say 3-0 Villa Grealish with an early one, Terry header just before halftime and then Gabby to rise from the bench for a beautiful solo goal with five minutes to go. (He'll probably get booked too) Derby day brings the goat out in many people but I'm hoping for a peaceful day. Stay safe everyone.
  16. When it comes to competitive matches, he's no chicken.
  17. Just heard this bloke being rude about cheese and milk. I thought "How dairy." Not sure this one works quite as well in the written form.
  18. I like how tall he is. Look at the size of him! I've heard that the Villa photographer is 6ft so Tuanzebe must be a giant. Granted he didn't look quite that tall against Burton but it may have been the angle I was watching the game from.
