  1. Wishing you a speedy recovery V4L! I enjoy reading your knowledgeable posts on here - really interesting to hear about players from your unique perspective. Sending positive vibes your way mate!

Welcome to the mad hause. The ball is now in your Kort.
  3. Leeds' movement, composure on the ball, high pressing and fitness are at the level that we are aiming to be at. We've got a ways to go yet unfortunately.
  4. We've dominated the play without any luck. Stoke are a dirty team aren't they? A couple more of their players should be on yellows and Ince should be off for a second yellow for simulation.
  5. First game I've been able to watch in the Dean Smith era, and what a pleasure it was to see us playing it out from the back and actually try to pass the ball around, albeit a bit sloppily in that first half. We were living dangerously then and if that second goal for Blues had gone in, it might well have been a different outcome (but how many times have we said that about our own opportunities in the past?) Suffice to say we took our chances when they mattered and what a goal by the Scottish Cafu! When he picked up the ball and charged forward, and the Blues players just parted like the Red Sea, you just knew it was going to be something special. I actually laughed out loud when that went in and woke up the wife. As a foreign fan, I don't have the same feelings around this game as those of you who have grown up with this rivalry. But I'm glad we still hold the bragging rights.
  6. We've been severely lacking in our "Jordan" quota of late, so I would welcome this transfer.
  7. First time I've watched a live match this season after paying for the game through AVTV. What a waste ?. On the opening whistle, we hoofed the ball forward to no-one-in-particular, and I knew that this was going to be a sign of things to come. Lack of coordination between players, zero movement off the ball, completely ineffectual attacks and an extremely fragile defence. After almost 2 years at the helm, there's no semblance of a cohesive unit - a poor reflection on Bruce. He's gotta go surely!? I dearly hope the owners/CEO have a backup plan.
  8. If anyone's listened to the Football Ramble podcast from last week where they spoke with Carlos Carvalhal, I could see someone like him in the Villa job. Speaks good English, plays decent football and currently not in a job. Also has managed in the Championship before.
  9. A manager's job (in any field, not just football) is to get their team functioning at a level where they are greater than the sum of their parts (or at the very least, equalling the sum of their parts). Unfortunately, it seems to be the reverse with us. Barring small spells in certain matches, we have no consistent discernible style or pattern of play. Our players look like strangers on the pitch and any "tactics" that can be deduced, don't seem to take advantage our players strengths. It's all a bit of a shambles. Quite simply, Bruce isn't having the effect on the team a manager should. We have to hope that the owners have been watching carefully, and have a plan of how they want to move forward, should they get rid of Bruce. Not being "football people" themselves, we have to hope that they have been taking advice from those that are, and have someone lined up who can come in, quickly grasp the situation here and the understand how best to utilise the players at their disposal. Still not having a CEO doesn't help matters though.
  10. Clearly the job is too big for any person. Get IBM's Watson in. Surely, it'll get the formations right. Pretty sure there isn't any rule against having a supercomputer as manager.
  11. I think that's his default expression mate. I can see a montage of him now, on a roller coaster, shagging the missus, the birth of his first child, all with the same facial expression.
  12. New ownership, new management, an almost entirely new staring eleven... and yet we see the same old crap. It's unbelievable. How can this still be happening?
  13. I live a few blocks from a cemetery. There are like 6 pokestops and 2 gyms within it. Each gym is around level 7. Must be weird to go and visit the grave of a loved one, and a few feet from you, there's a bunch of kids trying to catch a ghastly and battling over gyms.
  14. Eevee evolution tip (seems to work though not 100% confirmed): If you name your Eevee Sparky, Rainer or Pyro, you can control which path it evolves into. Sparky - Jolteon, Rainer - Vaporeon, Pyro - Flareon. Based off the characters from the cartoon.
  15. This is like a secret society isn't it? Exchanging knowing smiles with random people on the street.
  16. Has the game officially released in the UK yet? Once it does I imagine this map will be updated. It's all player updated so take it with a grain of salt.
