Watching the changing room celebratory videos after the match, you could see the squad harmony and passion that Dean has fostered in the players. Even fringe players or those not involved in the matchday squad are all enjoying the ride together. You can see how it's all based on the core principle Dean's spoken about in many interviews - "Being a good teammate." He, along with the rest of the backroom team, deserve so much credit for what they've been able to accomplish so far.

Is it bad that I'd take a 1-1 result in this game? We don't seem to be in this at all. The boys are looking a bit flat.

First match I've been able to watch in a while after encountering last week's AVTV shambles. It's been a bit of a slog. Not much coming off, bar Green's excellent, desperation cross and McGinn's sweet strike. Really need Jack to take this game by the scruff of the neck.

But they key thing with the bolded bit is that Bruce had a relatively full strength squad to pick from. A squad that he had built no less. I have little doubt that if you put Grealish and Tuanzebe into the side that played Stoke on the weekend, you would have had a much better result.
