  1. Glad someone else noticed the Twilight Zone thing, piss poor commentary. JACK OUT!
  2. Where's Grealish? Oh dear, is he leaving too?!
  3. We'll probably not get the chance to boo him since he'll never get any games for them. Wish him all the very worst at City.
  4. Defensively woeful and can lose possession cheaply but provides vital assists - playing him is always a risk, I feel and I think we could improve on Bacuna. Should just play him as an out an out winger, to be honest.
  5. Sod him. He doesn't want to be at the club any more, he can go to a "bigger" team if he wants. Sod him. He doesn't want to be at the club any more, he can go to a "bigger" team if he wants. Oh dear, posted twice.
  6. Away doesn't really look that great, compared to how the home one looks. Although, it should have 3 hoops on each sleeve, not 4
  7. Best arrival at the club since Benteke!
  8. Thought Herd was being given a final chance?
  9. He's probably bitter because the captaincy was taken away from him. Well if he thinks he can do better than Villa then good luck to him. I don't think he'll find another club that would be willing to put up with his injury filled season of crap performances. Clark has the potential to be a top centre back, and Okore too, but less so. Baker will also improve as well, as he's still quite young. So I don't think we need to put our trust in this guy anymore. If he wants to go then let him go, don't want someone around that doesn't want to wear our shirt. Hopefully this potential takeover will go through and we will get some money to spend. Then we can wave bye bye to Mr Vlaar for good.
  10. Wasn't George Friend the replacement for Joe Bennett when he left Boro? If we're in for Friend then it's quite ironic that we're getting him and possibly rid of Bennett. I think we should be looking at raiding Premier League clubs for their full backs rather than looking at Championship level defenders.
  11. I've got a vision of Tim Sherwood doing a David Brent in the Wembley changing room and going round all the players one by one at full time and telling them individually "You're not gonna lose your job", whilst skipping the likes of Weimann etc!
  12. Good luck to them if they want to go to QPR over us.... if they think that moving to QPR will benefit them in the long run, then that's their loss. I'm sure Sherwood has a few surprises in store for us.
  13. If Liverpool stick in a bid for him, then I expect the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to put in equal or better offers. He deserves to go to the best club possible, so there's no chance in hell I'd want him leaving us only to go to Liverpool. Chelsea need a replacement for Drogba and CB fits the bill perfectly, and I hope Sherwood realises that too if we are forced to sell him to ensure that we get as much money as possible out of a transfer. Although I wonder if he'll stay if we win the cup and qualify for the Europa League, but that's unlikely since I think he wants to play in the CL.
  14. If Vardy is worth £15-20m then Benteke is worth at least 3 or 4 times that. Vardy is vastly overrated.
  15. It's a shame Koeman paid him off today.
  16. Does anyone think Jack will get a first XI squad number next season? Which ones do we think will be up for grabs?
  17. It's quite a pivotal decision for Jack to make so early on in his career. On the one hand, yes, I think he is good enough to be called up by England but he may not considered a big enough name to start just yet, which is a shame because he certainly has the ability and would definitely be a starter in 12-18 months time, if he keeps up his performances. On the other hand, if he does get picked by England and he does opt to play for the national team then his stock will rise considerably and bigger teams (i.e. the Sky 4) will come knocking very quickly. Even though he is a Villa fan and a Brummie, in this scenario, we might find it hard to keep him at the club by the end of next season. If he ever did join a different side, depending on how highly he's rated at the time of a potential move, he might either play a bit-part role for another team or be a starter, week in, week out. Either way, it's a big gamble. However, if he does choose ROI, there is a big chance that he will be more or less a definite starter almost immediately, I would say. Bigger clubs won't come knocking based on the international team he chooses to represent (based on the hype) and he'd be more likely to stay with us and build on his career at Villa. I wouldn't be too bothered which team he chooses, as long as it doesn't affect Villa in the long run. I can see him being a big player for us in years to come.
  18. I wonder if he'd consider a move to Watford - seems to have a lot of friends there and would settle in fairly quickly. May be a good asset for a promoted club.
  19. Jennifer Ariston? I'll get me coat....
  20. Great performance today from Mr Born Slippy himself..... I mean a great acting performance with that bloody crying. No showpiece final for him - the media must be crying their eyes out. After all the times he's scored against us, this was the perfect way to shut him and the scousers up once and for all. Well done Villa, roll on Arsenal!
  21. My best mate (a Spurs fan, for his sins) tipped us to be in for Luongo as soon as Sherwood took the job with us. Apparently he was highly rated by Spurs fans, and has improved at Swindon. Might be worth a punt, to be honest as someone we could phase in over the next season. Think we'll get rid of Westwood, Sanchez, Herd and Sylla in the summer. No idea what'll happen with Cleverley, although I'd sign him on a free given his current form. We'd probably need to make 3 signings to bolster the central/defensive midfield area - which is where we've been losing battles during games.
  22. The Creator is a laughable nickname (if it really is his nickname) - the only thing he creates is chances for the other team by fouling an opponent or giving it away in dangerous areas...
  23. By the looks of it, I think Sherwood prefers attacking players in his line up, even in the full back positions. Seems like his philosophy is to play a very attacking game and create as many chances as we possibly can and for that reason, I can see both Lowton and Bacuna retaining their places as they're both better attacking than defending - especially Bacuna.
  24. Isn't it Gabby's 300th PL appearance today? If so, what a day for him to get a hat trick after being crap for so long!
  25. I had a dream we won 8-0 today but I thought that was wishful thinking. Shame I'm not a betting man!
