  1. "I feel like joining in with the boos, to be honest" - when the commentator says that, you know it's been a poor half.
  2. Larsson with an "injury" after Delph completely showed him up. He's shite.
  3. Sanchez showing how the ball should be passed!
  4. Clumsy, overweight oaf. That's what Weimann is.
  5. When the likes of Weimann (greedy/headless chicken), Gabby (pure pace and little footballing intelligence) and Bacuna (mediocre at best) are making (more often than not) poor decisions when making deciding to pass or shoot themselves, Benteke has a right to be pissed off - especially if he's in a decent position to score. He's got more talent than our other forwards put together, hence his very good record at scoring goals for us - a team that hasn't scored many in the last few years. It would be interesting to see how Lambert is handling this, let's hope he's telling his players to try and get the ball up to him at every opportunity - particularly in the 18 yard box.
  6. It'll most likely be a 3-5-2 formation rather than a 5-3-2. Happy with the team, hopefully we can build upon the way we played against United and actually start playing some attractive football.
  7. The official website has him at 6'2" which is where all the other websites are probably getting their info from. I've seen some websites list him as 5'10" - which is much more accurate and actually probably correct. I've met him a couple of times after games and he's definitely around that height.
  8. Would like to see Lambert going with 3-5-2 for the next match - Guzan Okore Vlaar Clark Hutton Cissokho (wingbacks obviously) Sanchez Bacuna Delph Weimann Benteke Great... it's not showing up properly (but you get the idea)
  9. Played really well today considering we were without a lot of first team players. Lambert got the tactics right in some respects but I would have liked to have seen Lowton taken off at half time for Bacuna. Happy with the point now but if the referee decided to keep his red in his pocket then it could have been a different story - I was hoping that we'd hold on for all three. Young is an absolute dick and I hope he's considered surplus to requirements by United soon and gets shipped off to some League One club where some thug can kick lumps out of him. Okore, what a beast - what footwork as well. So impressive. Pretty much everyone bar Lowton had a good game, especially Guzan and Benteke (amazing goal). Honourable mention for Delph, who showed some good touches in midfield. Now that we're without Gabby for the next few games, I wonder if Lambert will play Weimann and Benteke up front together? Maybe not but it could be worth a go. Finally, I think if we continue to play the way we have been playing in the last few games then we should comfortably stay up. The way it's looking, the bottom three will be decided pretty soon I think (Leicester, Burnley and maybe Palace/Hull/West Brom/QPR) but I don't think we have anything to worry about.
  10. Bacuna needs to replace Lowton to avoid any further embarrassment.
  11. It's nice that we'll have a few decent centre backs competing for places once Vlaar, Senderos and Baker return from injury. As long as we don't pair Baker with Clark, I'll be happy.
  12. In the current climate and knowing how overvalued English players are, Cleverley probably is worth £8m. Whether or not we'll pay it is another story. Perhaps if we agree to sell Vlaar to United they'll knock off a few million?
  13. What a turnaround from this guy. My favourite player at the moment.
  14. Vardy can do one, he's one of those typical crappy lower league strikers that manage to somehow fluke a move to a team that play in the Premier League for a season. He's utter tosh. I don't mind Ulloa so much but hope he gets taken off as he's the only guy out there that will get a goal for Leicester. Lambert should take Zog off ASAP, he's rubbish. Plenty of time for Jack and Callum to come on and get a few goals
  15. Wow! What an amazing goal. That man oozes quality!
  16. That Benteke shot reminded me of the goal against West Brom. Shame it didn't go in!
  17. If we could start scoring in the second half of matches, then maybe we wouldn't have to worry about holding onto a lead or a point for so long. It's like we score a goal after 20 mins and then spend 70 minutes just trying playing damage limitation - and guess what? It doesn't work!
  18. We can't be drawing to the likes of Burnley if we're to stay in this league. Lambert really has to go now. Cole MOTM for me, great performance - should really have been utilised much more this season.
  19. Joe Cole showing the kind of class that we've been lacking for so long. Lots of great runs and nice passes from him, not forgetting the very well taken goal. Ref is going to have a tough time trying to keep a lid on the game in the second half if it carries on like this, although I can imagine Sean Douchebag trying to get his players to wind us up. Enjoying it so far, probably the most entertaining Villa game this season - although that's not very hard to say....
  20. Another midfielder that's not good enough for the Villa squad. Poor signing for me - needs to improve very quickly.
  21. I've rarely noticed him in any of the games he's played. Is that a good or a bad thing for a midfielder that operates in his position? Probably not a good thing really since if you're not really "involved" then you're pretty ineffective - as we've seen over the last few games. I'd say Westwood is a better option than Cleverley but there's not much in it. Losing Delph has been terrible so far for us and I think Sanchez is pretty dire and if he doesn't improve, he should be shipped back to Elche at the earliest opportunity.... (if they're stupid enough to take him back, that is).
