Wow! I would have loved to have been in the same squad as John Terry learning as much as I could in the 1 year contract he had. Regarding Samba, the whole point of competition is to push yourself harder to get ahead no?

Had a serious injury. The guy was still recovering all last year. Serious injuries do knock your confidence. I have faith that he'll come good.

I'm delighted with the result. Elmo and Hogan linked up really good. Only concern is that we're setting up as a counter attack side like the O'Neil days. I still feel like we'll struggle to break down teams if they sit back. Goals is what exactly what we needed to get our confidence going though so

That was when Gabby was at his quickest/the quickest player in the league... understandly he was a handful. I think Samba will be essential for us this season. Good cover for Terry.

Sounds very professional and determined. Also understands he needs to work hard to achieve his goals. Jack could learn a thing or two from his younger team mate.

Why does no one high up at Villa understand this? Everyone else can see it.

We really need to look to replace this guy or at least someone to rotate with him. Someone who has more energy, track back faster a snail and can pass the ball. He was away on international duty a lot and those are the games we really suffered as we have no other replacement.

Off the BBC website Posted at21:30 We've hardly mentioned Aston Villa or QPR since Jonathan Kodjia's early goal. It's nothing personal, honestly - it's just that Villa are 11th and QPR are 16th. Steve Bruce's side are still in front and closing in on a fourth straight win.
