Gerrard has given him a few starts at least. I think he started about 2 games under DS in total and we had that incident at Arsenal and then DS claiming he had covid or something.
I do think when we signed him DS was thinking "but I have McGinn who starts week in week out and Ramsey coming through nicely so why bother" Gerrard gave him a few starts early on but given it was when McGinn was out I think that says it all and as long as McGinn is fit he starts in our current squad.
I'm not actually sure we'll be able to sell him, a season long loan somewhere feels inevitable to me. Palace will laugh us off the phone if we demanded 15m as they could legitimately ask why we hardly ever start him despite them having a similar midfield and finishing above us probably.
Supposedly the Aboriginal people of Australia historically had a very good sense of direction because they were taught to refer to directions purely by compass points, meaning they have a constant reference point rather than a contextual one.
We'll likely never ever sign someone as good as Guimaraes. There's not many of them about at non-elite clubs.
I hope I'm not wincing as the signings come through this summer.
Zero doubt Newcastle will be getting in exclusively fantastic players with Dan Ashworth and their external recruitment specialists.
Well we signed Sanson instead and barely used him.
I think the issue is McGinn is generally seen as untouchable by the managers we appoint so really with Ramsey's emergence that means only one midfield position is in play.
Really hope McGinn becomes a rotation player soon as 3 years down the line he isn't suddenly going to morph into this weekly dominating all action prem CM. Will still have his uses for certain games but can't be playing every single minute of every game next season.
Feeling we are gonna see Sanson, Traore, Carney, start Thursday. Gerrard won’t openly admit it but he wants to do his best for Liverpool on Sunday. We have good squad depth though and i wouldn’t mind seeing lads get a go on Thursday
