He's there or thereabouts. Giroud and co are definitely not better than him. I think Benteke is a better player personally but that's not how the rest of football sees him as he plays for an unfashionable club and is overshadowed by Lukaku etc. He's also much younger than the majority of the first camp which raises his price as he's not the finished article just yet.

Good strikers are at a premium these days, which is why they go for crazy fees. Morata whole not bring amazing it's still probably in the top 10 for his position. It's not like the 90's anymore where there were so many great strikers.

It's Villa, that's a good enough reason We're at the point now where we should expect the worst I think. I'm absolutely tired of being disappointed by Villa. On paper we should be up there no question, but I'm not expecting us to be.

This. It could be somewhat justified if the game was as exciting as the money suggests. But for it to be even worse than it was when there was way less money is almost offensive.

This is amazing news. The most frustrating thing last season was seeing only like 30-40% of the games. For example, I barely know how our new signings like Lansbury and Hourihane play. -
I mean Sigurdsson is one of the best CAMs in the league. I think only 2 players got more assists than him in all 5 major European leagues...and that was in a relegation threatened Swansea team. If other worse players are going for crazy fees, I don't see what's wrong with Swansea adjusting their asking price accordingly.

Before watching that, I know his first touch through ball against Stoke is going to be in there. I was in stitches after I saw that. Never saw a player get an assist for the other team with their first touch in the opposition half
