I made that mistake when travelling round Oz wearing trainers with no socks. **** me they stank within a couple of weeks.

I was walking down the street and walking towards me were four teenage lads having to shake their heads every three steps to get their silly fringes out of their eyes. I could have put this in the cheer you up thread as I openly laughed at them, but then I'm pissed off with officially being an old fogey laughing at young people's stupid haircuts.

My local geography is awful, largely because I don't have a car so rarely go very far. Most of my general geography knowledge is down to watching lots of quiz shows.

I really need to find the motivation to get back into my music. I only bought one album this year, BRMC's Wrong Creatures and that was in January.

I think it's been alright. Last year I had to stop watching it, it was absolutely awful but the last few candidates this year all have a bit about them.

One thing in the BBC and BT's favour is that they have women on it who actually come across as quite bright and knowledgeable, albeit I haven't watched Soccer Saturday in a few years so they may have them on there too.

It feels like that heatwave was only last week, I can't believe it's nearly Christmas. It's scary how quick time goes the older you get.

The other week I spent a good 10 minutes trying to explain, with diagrams, to a girl from work that the channel tunnel is under the sea, not through the middle of it. She couldn't quite get the idea that there is land under the sea you can dig through.

When I went travelling Down Under I met a British expat in a pub in Noosa and he was banging on about hating everything in Australia, the people, the accent (even though he had picked up an Aussie twang himself) etc and he'd finish every other sentence with 'It makes me as mad as a cut snake', which was probably the most Australian sounding thing I've ever heard. I've tried using it over here but it just isn't the same.

I moaned the other day about my moving flat and its dragging out beyond the end of my tenancy, all because of stuff at the seller's end. The new flat is empty at the moment so the estate agent said she'd contact the seller to organise for me to move my furniture in and store it there during the next few weeks until the completion, and he's only got back and said I can do it for 50 quid a week What an absolute cretin. The local Lok n Store charge 15 quid a week, arsed if I'm giving that idiot any more of my **** money.

Since I've started eating tinned fruit a lot my farts have become far worse. I was always more of a belcher than a farter but now it's the reverse.

From what I remember, as I've expunged a lot of my memories from that holiday, we stayed in Pisa for three nights and spent a day in Florence as like you say it's only an hour by train. I wish we'd done it the other way round and stayed in Florence and travelled to Pisa to see the tower.

Pisa is the biggest shithole I've ever stayed in and put me off going back to Italy really. I really need to give the country another chance though.

I think I have done this one before, but it's the seat-back rocket polishers that do my head in. Is reclining a further two inches really going to make you sleep better?
