  1. Caen is a nice place, that is all I know. Hope he is worth the wait.
  2. Foakes got hit on the back of his hand on the unpadded bit when he got out. Bit of a freak dismissal and he's gone to hospital.
  3. Let's face it, January is a shit time to be signing players. You shouldnt really need to revamp your side at this stage of the season but we've got to really.
  4. Imagine Curtley Ambrose on this pitch. I think half the team would be in hospital.
  5. God I loved that man. I'm a bit young for McGrath but Laursen, what a player.
  6. Yes I could see the 'twist' coming from a mile off but I enjoyed it.
  7. I'm just a bit surprised as we don't know for sure which division we will be in. I guess it would be handy to have someone already lined up knowing we have a lot of players to replace in the summer.
  8. My pool/dining table has arrived It makes me wonder why all dining tables don't come with pool tables built in, a bit like washing machines should have a dryer built into it.
  9. As long as he's up to speed he should be an improvement. I can see why people are nervous about signing him but it's probably a gamble worth taking.
  10. Definitely, a massive vindaloo then a tub of ice cream would do me nicely.
  11. If the other option was no deal then we would have to consider it. Like I said the other day, this is the test of the Brexiteers mantra that they need a deal as much as we do, if this is literally the only deal May can get through parliament then they would have to consider it, even with this mythical 'alternative arrangement' thrown in.
  12. Don't get me started on Faisal **** Islam. The way he chaired the first Brexit debate/interview on Sky was outrageous, like him doing his Paxman impression was more important than giving the two sides the chance to make their case. I wondered at the time how many people got put off by that first debate.
  13. I have to say one of the EU's greatest successes is making it almost impossible to leave it. I still think the only way of breaking the deadlock is another referendum or general election. The Brady amendment is laughable.
  14. Those Chicagotown frozen 'takeaway' pizzas taste almost the same and cost about £3. I've never shat myself after one (yet).
  15. I couldn't believe it when I read about that Brady amendment last night. Utter stupidity. I **** despair at all this nonsense.
  16. I think it's a mixture of things, yes we haven't played to his strengths, but I dont think he's actually got as many strengths to his game as the form he was in before he signed indicated he had. He seems to have had plenty of niggles as well, plus I think a lot of football league players struggle with moving to the big clubs as well. There is so much more pressure and attention at a club like Villa than a team like Brentford.
  17. Having said that, I still end up getting sucked in by The Apprentice. Dragons Den though I just can't be arsed with.
  18. I like the story Bob Mortimer told of being best man at his brother's wedding where he said 'It's lovely to see them together....by which I mean the bride's legs of course!' and her family walked out. I was dreading being asked by my mate, he's basically a gypsy with nine brothers and a sister who are all sorts of trouble, so I basically told him not to ask me which made me feel a bit guilty. His fiancee was absolute pain in the arse as well, and thankfully they split up before the marriage anyway. It's just not something I can imagine myself being anything other than an embarrassment doing.
  19. I can't believe that programme is still going, the format got tired a long time ago a bit like The Apprentice.
  20. Football fans are like any other cross section of the population in that there are loads of bell ends and often noisy with it. I'm not sure there is any solution other than winning all the time but even then you won't please everyone. It's the same no matter where you are on the football pyramid.
  21. I thought collectables were more desirable if you keep it in the original box. Do they have keeping-things-in-the-box videos on YouTube as well?
  22. The difference between what Smith and Bruce achieved with Jack and Axel available was like night and day, even if it was a small sample size. I'd expect Smith to at least try and implement that same style if they do leave this summer. There is still a part of me that we will be shit for eternity no matter what though.
