  1. I've watched one where someone ordered a random box off the dark web and opened it without knowing what was inside before. Now that was quite interesting. I didn't know it was an actual thing that people can make a living off.
  2. This is why the Police need machine guns.
  3. I'd much rather have Kodjia as back up to Abraham. He's more versatile, and selling him to replace with an expensive loan would be dumb.
  4. Really? I've never thought he had any ability with the ball going back 10 years or so. England is probably the only major football league in the world where his kind of skill set is seen as desirable in a footballer.
  5. A bit of footballing ability would be nice too
  6. I'm surprised this thread has got to 200 pages considering he's done bugger all at the club.
  7. Well, a worse set of players than the ones that thrashed Boro and Derby
  8. Kinell, the ref was about 6 yards from that, how did he see it as a penalty
  9. We've been no better with Bjarnasson there either, we've just got a load of shit to choose from for that position (plus many others)
  10. Perhaps in the reverse to the theme of the thread, I used to be fairly liberal when it came to crime and punishment and thought rehabilitation was more important than just locking people up. This was until we were victims of crime, and now I think prisoners should be worked hard til they drop, then have their hands chopped off the morning they are released.
  11. I guess this is the real test of the Brexiteer's stance of 'they will want a deal as much as we do' if the govt go back to the EU wanting changes to the backstop. Last chance saloon.
  12. Watched a couple of episodes of the Ted Bundy doc on Netflix. It's pretty chilling stuff.
  13. Very flat pitch and very flat bowling. Holder is turning into one of the best cricketers in the world, a few years ago I thought he'd never fulfil his promise.
  14. One thing I've never quite got is when I get my tax breakdown thing through the post, who the interest on the national debt gets paid to. It's something like the fourth biggest expense in it.
  15. Should still work against the jihadi longlegs
  16. Morons may be an exaggeration but a huge chunk of the population probably can't be arsed or have the time to look for sources of information from several different viewpoints, therefore are heavily influenced by newspapers, and nowadays social media echo chambers.
  17. As Mikey Holding often says bowling fast is a very strange thing to put the human body through. It's not really designed to run up and hurl a ball at 90mph, it's just luck of the draw if you have a body that can cope with it.
  18. Makes you wonder what he did with it
  19. Indeed, we are always about 40/2 at best and eventually you're going to get occasions where the middle order crumble in a heap like this. I'm not sure there is a lot we can do except trying different players. Jennings is lucky Cook retired and avoid getting dumped before this winter. I'd be tempted to look at Denly instead. Thinking about it, Duncan Fletcher was our best batting coach, perhaps they could get him to work with the batsmen. I'm not sure what he is up to nowadays.
  20. It seemed strange seeing Thorpe and Collingwood in the Sky studio. Thorpe I believe has been the ODI batting coach and we've been the best in the world in that form, and he was an exceptional Test batsman too, and Colly is highly thought of. England Lions are on tour as well, and I believe Trott is out there with them as batting coach. Not sure how Ramps is seen as better than them.
  21. I've been giving tea a go, having always been a coffee drinker (well, since the age of 20 anyway). I had some visitors round after Christmas and the smallest box I could get from Tesco Express was 80 tea bags, so I've been drinking the odd cup here and there. It's alright. Probably should have been on the boring thread, but hey ho.
  22. In comparison to what's gone on since, keeping us in the Prem for a couple of years was a decent achievement, especially considering our recent transfer budget has been something he could never have imagined getting himself. He just took too many beatings by the end of it and he's not recovered from it. There was also all that stuff with his assistants/coaching team that probably didn't help him. I'm not sure who he works with nowadays.
  23. 'When it goes to penalties, it's a lottery'. Is it my arse.
