Balotelli isn't "gone" at all. He's had a shit season sure, but he's a 1 in 2.5 striker in Europe's top leagues who just turned 25. He's way out of our league. They can barely give him away.

Their squad depth is awful, until they signed Bahman they had 5 defenders. Their forwards are 1 world class but injury prone striker, a decent but inconsistent premier league level striker and a former world class striker who has dropped a couple of performance levels.

As Richard alluded to above, a Guardiola - - mourinho swap (in effect) may suit both clubs. The Germans wouldn't take 5 minutes of his shit. I'm sure Mourinho wanted to sign a couple of big money players this season but with no sales Roman isn't splashing the cash. Jose is likely pissed off with that, he has the exact team as last year.

Gueye will always play in the 2 in midfield IMO, whatever the shape around them might be, he has the energy for it.

even an experienced stop gap for the time being would be ok. A player like Distin or Fonte would have been decent, somebody to guide the others along and to organise them Rather have Senderos than either of those two tbf. We could only dream of signing Fonte.

He'd certainly be an exciting signing but based on that video I'm not sure how good he actually is. The defending is hopeless and he's dominating because of his physicality. He's raw but definitely has the makings of a good player. Can't see him ever being good enough for Barcelona, even just because they don't use players of his style.

That's true but the question of whether they will win the league is dependent on them changing to a better and more focused team.

Where else is he going to go? Barca or Real don't use players like him. PSG or Chelsea possibly.

It's a huge part of doing well /winning a league but seems to just be put down to luck. Arsenal definitely have problems which go beyond luck.

It's very difficult to win the league with the exact same team. Chelsea need more signings or more rotation.
