  1. Some reason BT have only uploaded Barry's goal, presumably because he's the most well known playing today.
  2. God I hate this co-commentator. I highly doubt the likes of Bayern, Liverpool or Man Utd are scouting youth players based on what another teams CEO says.
  3. Our first goal at Goodison was made entirely by Watkins' off the ball work.
  4. FA Youth Cup Semi tomorrow, no chance we see Chukwuemeka or that Kesler would be on the bench imo.
  5. That was a much harder chance than it looked at first, Calvert-Lewin was in the perfect position.
  6. Yes I know, sarcasm doesn't always come across well in text Just taking the piss after seeing comments again implying the club haven't been clear about it, when they have, especially considering they're never that clear about anything really.
  7. So let me get this straight; On May 4th, Jack said he was about a week to 10 days away from returning, which meant either tomorrow or Palace. The club say he was in training before the Utd game and had scored in training. Gregg Evans tweets yesterday/puts out an article that he was in line for the 18 tomorrow and may even start. Smith today says he's fit enough for the 18 but probably not to start, and he'd been training Saturday (before Utd as previously said) and yesterday, with presumably no training at all on Monday as it was the day after a game. Why won't the club be straight with us and let us know roughly when he'll be back!?!?!?
  8. We tried that last season when Wes got injured and before we got Samatta/Davis was fit, it wasn't great. Although it might work better with a generally better team now. El Ghazi is at his best when he's at LW, so I'd drop Barkley and play Grealish centrally with Davis up front, as it'd be slightly unfair to drop/move El Ghazi.
  9. Annoyingly, that entire thread seems to make some good points, minus the annoying use of phrases like "beta-lawyer-gamma-politician".
  10. The thing is, it isn't. The UK is a left leaning country economically, and right leaning socially. The Tories understand this, that's why Johnson has been nudging them left economically ever since he came in, it's why he's been nicking ideas from Labour like raising corporation tax and increasing borrowing, and it's why more traditional conservatives focus so much on culture war bullshit, because their views on the economy are unpopular. Even if the Tories are lying about what they'd do economically, they're still at least trying to appeal to people. The problem Labour have is that those that wanted Corbyn out are essentially the inverse of the public, right leaning economically, left leaning socially, appealing to a secure middle-class that can occupy itself with more fringe issues that as whole the electorate doesn't care about (Honestly, me, if I wasn't so tied to my left wing economic views). So they see what was actually popular about Corbyn, say "that won't do" and chuck it all out, then are shocked that no-one in the country resonates with them. It's nothing to do with progressive parties putting aside their squabbles, Labour needs to get out of it's bubble, realise it's not the 90s anymore and actually engage with people on a local level and understand the issues facing the country. At the minute the party stinks of a smug "I know better than you" attitude for basically every position on the political spectrum, if they can shift that attitude and start putting forward ideas to actually improve the country, there's no reason they can't turn it around. But it will never happen if they straight up refuse to learn the lesson that has been smacking them in the face since the EU referendum, which is stop ignoring the working class.
  11. I think that's just because you focus on Villa stories as you're a Villa fan. For example, BBC's gossip column is leading with Man City chasing Rice and Soucek has been linked with Man Utd and PSG in recent weeks. I've also seen stuff about Liverpool being interested in Tielemens (or perhaps being "urged to sign" him) and Maddison has had constant links away for the past few seasons, mainly to Utd, I think it's only died down a bit recently because he's been out of the spotlight a bit more this season.
  12. More importantly, is that Jack in one of the training groups? Please ignore that Trezeguet is also there with his crutch...
  13. For me yes, if that's the case (Although it seems too speculative for me to be true). Too many people think that Covid is something people recover from quickly, which I can say from personal experience it isn't. Then you have the below from Nuno today; And this from an NBA player a few weeks ago; It's a **** awful disease where your own immune system attacks your lungs, of course people are going to suffer long term from it, like any serious disease.
  14. To be fair, the Lord Buckethead character used is the character from the 80s film that was sued over, not just a similar name. Although it is a bit shitty to then threaten legal action and co-opt the idea when it goes viral.
  15. Mason Holgate will be having nightmares about Ollie for weeks, outstanding today.
  16. However if that happens, and Chelsea finish outside the Top 4 whilst winning the CL, then 4th won't get in to the CL as it's a max of 5 teams per nation.
  17. So start him instead of the miles better Watkins or completely change our team to fit him in? Would rather he stay as an impact sub.
  18. Keinan Davis is VT's "player that gets better the longer he doesn't play" but on steroids. You'd think he was prime Alan Shearer, not a guy that got his first Premier League goal last weekend.
  19. In light of Foster stepping down, a truly frightening insight in to one of the country's leading political journalist's grasp of politics. "Hmm, the DUP are a bit too sectarian nowadays, reckon I'll vote Sinn Fein instead"
  20. Chukwuemeka can't be far off getting some first team minutes surely, he's an absolute cut above at this level.
