  1. For me, even though he's a natural right back, Lichaj should be playing left back, instead of potentially spunking £4.5 million on Cresswell.
  2. **** hell, lads! I've just read the last 8-10 pages and it is very clear that some of you need a serious reality check if you really think we'll sign some of the players mentioned.
  3. Wasn't it supposed to be hitting Haiti as well? Or did they get away with it?
  4. Or 4. All of the above Definitely number 3 but a portion of it is down to bad advice I reckon!
  5. Doubtful. If anything happens, it will be from Tuesday onwards. An appearance on the pitch by a decent new signing during half time at the Tranmere game would be nice. As long as they aren't wearing a silly jumper!
  6. --------------------Guzan-------------------- Lowton------Vlaar-------Baker-------Lichaj --------------Herd-------El Ahmadi---------- N'Zogbia----------Ireland------------Holman ----------------------Bent---------------------- Or take out Herd, put Weimann in and play 4-4-2. I'd play Guzan to give him a fair chance. We are not in a position to be resting players. We need a win for the confidence. Getting beat by Tranmere at Villa Park would be disasterous.
  7. Didn't Neil Armstrong punch a reporter in an interview 5-10 years ago when asked if he really did go to the moon? Or was that Buzz Aldrin? One of them did anyway but now that I think about it I'm sure it was Buzz Aldrin. Speaking of Aldrin, I saw the statement that he made when he heard that Neil Armstrong had died. Good stuff. The conspiracy theories about the moon landing never fail to amuse me. I almost feel sorry for the people who believe that it was fake footage. RIP, Neil. A man that shall forever be remembered.
  8. Off the top of my head, Spyro The Dragon! It was one of the games that was included in the bundle when I bought an Xbox. Load of shit.
  9. N'Zogbia is a good player. He showed that at Newcastle and Wigan. Unfortunately he has been a sack of shit for us! Sometimes, for whatever reason, a player moves and it just doesn't work out for him or the club. Wigan sold Moses for 10 million. We should see if they want N'Zogbia back!
  10. Lichaj and Weimann I'd be happy to keep. The rest should either be sold and/or out on loan because at this moment in time they are not good enough.
  11. I've never been a big fan of him. The love in that some people on VT have for Bannan is baffling. He's a Championship player at best. He shows the odd little glimpse of hope occasionally but that's about it. Holloway liked him when Bannan was on loan at Blackpool. We should throw him in as part of a deal to sign Ince or Phillips.
  12. Yeah, I have aunts, uncles and cousins pretty much spread all over Ohio! I've been there a few times and always enjoyed my stay.
  13. There is a BIG difference in knowing what he needs and knowing what the budget will allow though! Us and Lambert can need and want all we like but if Lerner isn't supplying the funds there is absolutely **** all us or Lambert can do about it. Hopefully, in this "meeting" that is meant to be taking place, Lambert can persuade Lerner to spend. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
  14. So because 3 drunken idiots caused trouble it made Villa fans look like a bunch of assholes? I was at this game and I didn't see any trouble at all from either set of supporters. Not calling you a liar though. I just didn't see any trouble myself. What the **** has this got to do with the Randy Lerner thread anyway?
  15. Anthony Pilkington is a player who I would like us to sign. I think he'd be a great addition. Got pace, scores and creates, can deliver a decent cross too. I'm sure he's only about 22/23 as well. Two problems though. 1) If Lambert hasn't got a pot to piss in over the next five days. 2) Norwich would play hardball with us because they wouldn't want to lose one of their best players to Lambert.
  16. Do you think it's too late to get a refund on my season ticket!?! I've been a season ticket holder for 20 years now and as much as I love Villa, I don't think I can put up with this shit anymore. Today was an absolute embarrassment. Was Lerner there to witness this? Surely even that clueless **** can see that we are shit and the squad needs alot of rebuilding!!! The wage bill was high and he wanted to make cuts, that's fine BUT he still has to pump money in. The man has just gained about 700 million. Surely he can find 20-30 million for Lambert! I'm not asking for Man City mega millions but we NEED to spend immediately otherwise we are ****. If he is worried about finances now, I'd love to see his reaction next season when we are in the Championship! Mourinho or Guardiola couldn't save this squad. How Lambert is expected to is baffling. Lerner has six days to help Lambert save our season after only two games played! The clock is ticking!
  17. 2-1 Everton! They'll be flying after the win against Utd and I think we'll struggle to create chances again. Depends on how Lambert sets us up though. If we are set up the same as we were against West Ham then I stand by my prediction.
  18. CI, is that true about those share prices going from 60 dollars to 8 dollars? Or is this just more of your usual bollocks? :-) Anyway... the lack of transfer activity is seriously pissing me off! Lerner wanted the wage bill down, that's fine BUT he still has to invest in the team. How the **** are we meant to compete when the squad needs rebuilding and we are obviously operating on a sell to buy basis!?! After what we have had to witness over the last two years you would think Lerner would want to rebuild bridges with the fans. I'm not asking for Man City mega millions but with our current squad and the lack of transfer activity he isn't really giving Lambert a proper chance! Lambert is working with his arms tied behind his back and his shoelaces tied together! If nothing happens before the window closes we will struggle... AGAIN!!! I get wound up just thinking about it.
  19. Are you for real? That's one of the most stupidest comments that I've ever read on VT!
  20. I know Gary on a personal level. I'm gutted for him because I know what he went through and how hard he worked to recover when he done his knee before. I sent him a text message a few hours ago and I'll no doubt be invited round his house a few times over the next few months to play PS3 again. He's a proper sound lad and I know he hasn't really showed it but he's a good player. He's better than Craig, which even Craig admits. He'll be determined to come back stronger than ever though and I wish him all the best.
