Last season I was always confident that we would just about manage to survive. Under Houllier I was confident that we would survive (before the arrival of Bent I was starting to worry though). Even under Taylor I was confident of survival. Fast forward to the present and I've never been this worried about relegation before! I've been a season ticket holder for almost twenty consecutive seasons and I've seen many lows but I've never feared for our safety to the point of trying to prepare myself mentally for relegation, until now. I honestly can't see how we are going to get ourselves clear of it without spending big. Very worrying indeed!

Some of the comments that I read on this website never cease to amaze me! Nigel Reo Coker and Karl Henry!?! Really? Seriously? I know that we are in the shit and are in desperate need of reinforcements but these are the players that people would like us to sign? These are the players who are going to improve the team and help steer us away from the relegation zone? Reality check... NO, they are not!!! While I am obviously not expecting any superstar signings, believe it or not we are still capable of signing players who are much better than Karl Henry!!! Besides, Karl Henry is like Delph but worse. Henry is always a red card waiting to happen! We are useless with eleven players, nevermind ten! Karl Henry is most certainly not the answer to our midfield problems!

It's not that he is overrated. It's just that he is blatantly better than our other centre halves!

Julie, I'm not having a go here or anything but you really don't do yourself any favours with some of the stuff that you post on here! I'm not talking about your own opinions, I'm talking about stuff that you have "heard" from a journalist via the ever reliable Twitter! 99% of football related stories on Twitter are complete and utter rubbish. Agreed! I really rate Huddlestone and I'd be very happy if he came to Villa. Plus he's versatile and can fill in at centre half if needed, (I remember seeing him play centre half for Tottenham a few seasons ago when they had an injury crisis)

When Taylor was throwing 58's and Van Gerwen was hitting 140's and nice checkouts to make it 4-2 I thought there is no way Taylor is coming back to win this! Fair play to him though. Van Gerwen will learn from this and he'll be back stronger. His 9 darter followed by the attempted 9 darter against Wade was amazing! I still can't believe he's only 23. Surely he's made it into the Premier League now?

I was in New York just before Christmas and I went to see an advanced screening of Tarantino's new film, Django Unchained. Brilliant! It's not often that I rate films more than 7/10 but for this I will give a 9/10. It doesn't get released in the UK for a few more weeks but this is a film that I definitely recommend. One of the best films that I've seen for a long time.
