A comfortable home win today! I've got no confidence in this team whatsoever at the moment. My little brothers under 16's Sunday League team could probably beat Villa in this form! I'd say that Michu probably missing the game through injury is a big plus for us but with the way that we are defending lately it doesn't matter who we are up against! Obviously I want us to win but if we are going to lose then we need to go down fighting, not rolling over to have our bellies tickled! We need to stop the rot NOW!!! I'm just glad that I'm not going to the game. I've had my fair share of disappointing journeys back down the motorways after away games so far this season and I really didn't fancy starting the new year off with a disappointing journey home from Wales!

I said it in this thread a few months ago and I will say it again now, Clark's positioning is awful. I really don't rate him as a centre half at all. I never have!

Samba would be a great signing. He wants to come back to England as well apparently. Him and Vlaar would be a decent partnership. For midfield I'd go for Huddlestone. He can pick a pass, score goals and he's a big physical presence. We need someone like him, despite what many of you think! I heard that Diame has a 3.5 million release clause. If this is true then we should be straight in there! There's talk of Lambert raiding Norwich for Morison. Forget that! If he is going to raid Norwich then it needs to be for someone like Pilkington. Demba Ba's situation needs to be looked at as well. Bent's days in a Villa shirt are clearly numbered and Ba would be a great replacement. He apparently wants big wages but with the likes of Dunne and Warnock off the wage bill in 6 months, as well as the potential sale of Bent then Ba's wage demands shouldn't be a problem as we are clearly in the shit and it is not a time to be penny pinching! I just hope that Lerner is aware of how much money he'll lose out on if we go down.

I've never been a fan of him. As many others have mentioned, the only thing that you are almost guaranteed to get from him is a booking!

Buying young players with potential will only get you so far if there is no blend of experience, as has been proven! The fact that everyone from yesterday's line up except Guzan, Holman and El Ahmadi was 23 or under says it all. There is no experience in that team! Holman and El Ahmadi are 28 but this is still their first season in the Premier League and they are clearly not good enough. Out of our whole squad, if you take out 5 or 6 players then we have a squad fit for the Championnship! It's like men vs boys almost every single game. Our midfield is absolutely terrible. Yes we've had rare moments of greatness eg Liverpool away but for the majority it's been desperate. We need to buy experienced players! People who have been there and done it at Premier League level for years. All these younger lads need to be playing with and learning from older, experienced players. Even if they are just loans to help see us through the rest of the season until it can be addressed properly in the summer.

I was skipping through Sky channels the other night and I saw a documentary about people who think the world is ending today. I watched for about 15 minutes and I was fuming! There are idiots out there who have kids and they have brainwashed their kids into thinking they are going to die today! These people should have their kids taken off them. There was a little boy who was probably around 7 years old crying his eyes out because he didn't want the world to end and his parents were just sitting there talking absolute nonesense to the interviewer. They had built a little bunker just incase it didn't end but something else happened instead!

I saw this on Sky this morning... Aston Villa have resumed their interest in Porto defender Abdoulaye Ba. He's a 21 years old 6 foot 6 centre half from Senegal.

New York. I am going again next week for 4 days. Christmas time is a great time to be in New York. This will be my fifth trip there and I will never get tired of the place. There's so much more to do and see than the usual stuff too! San Francisco. Some of the sights are amazing. I love the cable cars/street cars there too. Not to mention the old Alcatraz prison! That place is unbelievable. I went on the guided tour to Alcatraz and I found it fascinating. I originally visited Hollywood/Los Angeles which was amazing but my visit to San Francisco was a nice break from LA. I've been to quite a few of the bigger or more popular cities in various states of America and these two are definitely among my favourites. An honourable mention for Las Vegas too! Like many of you, I've been to some very nice places around Europe as well BUT I have a big soft spot for America.

Nice job by Henderson but I expected a lot more from Diaz! I'm interested to see what Gustafsson can do against Jones but I don't think he'll be able to beat him, if Jones beats Sonnen of course. Rory is a good fighter. If he gets the rematch with Condit then I think that would be a great fight. I'm looking forward to seeing JDS vs Velasquez in a few weeks.

Since they released the PS3 patch yesterday morning I've got to say that finally, after a month, they are getting there! I played last night for about three hours with pretty much no problems whatsoever. They've added a lot of recoil to hip firing when using an SMG and they've decreased the power of SMG's a bit too as well as bumping up a few assault rifles. I've been winning a lot more gun battles now against hip firing idiots which is obviously great as I never hip fire! No mention of them sorting out lag compensation but it was definitely running smoother for me last night. They haven't patched it on Xbox yet have they? You'll notice the difference when you get it lads.

Yeah, I know. It's like I'm being punished for having a decent connection! If other people have shit connections that's not my problem and it shouldn't impact me in the slightest but due to the lag compensation I get screwed over! It's not right at all. I haven't played since Sunday night because I'm sick to death of putting shitloads of bullets into someone but I'm the one who ends up getting killed! I play for enjoyment, not to sit there getting pissed off. They need to get this sorted because it's not fair at all and I'll end up trading the game in. I don't mind getting killed fair and square but when I'm putting a lot of bullets into people and I can hear the bullets hitting them but they shoot me two or three times and I die it's pathetic!

^^^ I have got a 100MB Virgin Media internet connection and the amount of gun fights that I should win but don't is a **** joke! They need to hurry up and sort the patch out!

Challenges do NOT reset when you prestige. For example, if you have 149 semtex kills and you hit prestige, you will still have 149 semtex kills towards completing that challenge. Black hat is awesome. Have you ever been killed while you're waiting for your care pack to arrive or when it has dropped and you are about to get it? When calling it in, throw the marker onto a roof that can't be climbed onto or any out of bounds area. You can then use your black hat to get it. Classified information there people. Use it wisely! I had a very funny game last night when playing domination. I was using guardians and sentry guns. At one point I had two guardians set up at all three flags as well as a sentry gun at every flag. I was also dropping bouncing betties in random places. I finished the game on something like 68 kills 8 deaths. Sentry guns are absolutely lethal on this game! I love it when you can hear people going crazy on their headsets when you kill them.

There's camping, then there's camping with a target finder on your gun while also using bouncing betties and shock charges!!! Seems to be "all the rage" over the last few days! I really wish that there was an option to turn off killcams because it really winds me up watching the little bitches just crouching there. That target finder is an absolute joke! Overall though, it's alright. I'm almost on prestige 3. I'm used to all the maps and all the camping spots now too which obviously helps. I've started to get my big killstreaks more often now as well. I went 33-0 last night when playing Kill Confirmed on Carrier. I had the dogs on the loose and everything. Some of the airstrikes are lethal. I still can't settle on a gun though. It's as if they perform differently everyday! Got the Skorpian EVO gold last night. Some of the gun challenges take the piss though. 150 kills with no perks and 150 kills with no attachments just to get a gold gun!

As much as I would love to see GSP Vs Silva, I kind of feel sympathetic towards GSP. The reason for this is because if this fight does happen then it is GSP who will be doing all the sacrificing. What I mean by this is they will obviously have to fight at a catch weight. Anderson Silva is already quite a skinny guy. I don't know how much weight he'd be able to cut while still maintaining a healthy fighting shape. GSP would have to bulk up and this would obviously take a lot of time and also a lot of training to get used to fighting at heavier than normal. To be fair though, you could tell that he's bulked up a bit while he's been away. I just think GSP has got more to lose than Silva and if the UFC are going to try and pursue a "super fight" then Silva Vs Jones would probably be a better option, even though they apparently don't want it!

I'm not gonna lie, I had an absolute nightmare on this game earlier on! My worst performance on an FPS game for a long time! I don't know what it is. Yesterday I was doing alright and I was thinking yeah maybe I'm getting used to the maps now but tonight was awful. I wish that you could turn killcams off too because it proper winds me up when you see how you got killed and they are just **** crouching there already aiming down their sights! Sniping is an absolute joke on this game as well. You've got no chance against a sniper! The recoil is unbelievable too! No matter what gun or attachments I use to try to lower the recoil it's just not working for me. I don't know, maybe I just had an off night or something but I'm really annoyed with this game at the moment!

In March/April he signed a one year deal worth five million dollars. The deal was under the agreement that he would work a certain number of days over the year. He's on the poster for Wrestlemania meaning he'll be making a lot more appearances again between now and then. One of the reasons that he quit all those years ago was because they are always on the road and he was tired of the travelling. There was no way that he was going to come back and work full time again.

When you go to find game, there is an option in the bottom right corner callled something like search preferences. Press that then change it from normal to best. It doesn't cut it out altogether but it definitely makes it more smoother and you won't get killed as much in a gun fight if you fire first.

They are releasing a patch soon that will apparently sort out some of the problems. I played last night for a few hours. Did a bit better than I did on Tuesday but the hit detection is so annoying!!! What are people using in their custom classes? I've been messing around with a few different guns, attachments and perks so far. I've probably used the PDW-57 the most so far. The flak jacket perk is a must use for me because before I unlocked that perk I was sick to death of getting killed by a random grenade or semtex! I'm going to hammer this game over the weekend and as it is double xp for the people that pre ordered it I think that I'll probably end up hitting prestige 3. I'm not too far away from prestige 1 now and I've only played it about 6 hours altogether.
