  1. This game is huge, I think it would be wrong to throw Makoun in from the start. I'd go with the same starting line up that beat Citeh. Looking forward to going to this. Come on Villa!
  2. Looking forward to seeing Makoun play for us. If he's involved tomorrow then it will definitely be as a sub as I can't see Houllier changing the side that beat Citeh. Makoun is a good player and is a bargain at 5 million, I just hope he settles and adapts quickly
  3. Hi General, Are there any plans to rename the Doug Ellis Stand back to the Witton Lane Stand? I personally think that it is long overdue. Keep up the good, hard work
  4. Great start for Bent. The first goal of many to come! James Collins man of the match for me. He was superb. Massive confidence boost this is! What a week
  5. Providing he signs of course... To the tune of 'Give It Up' by K.C & The Sunshine Band Na na na na na na na na na na na na Darren Darren Bent Darren Bent Darren Darren Bent Or, you know when someone is down injured and everyone sings 'let him die let him die let him die' well imagine that tune Darren Bent Darren Bent Darren Bent And if he doesn't sign then Darren Bent what a w4nker what a w4nker would be suitable lol.
  6. What a signing this would be. I'm over the moon about this but I really don't want to get my hopes up too soon. He's a proven premier league goalscorer, something that we have lacked for a while. The fee doesn't bother me in the slightest. It's the sort of price that you have to expect to pay for quality in this day and age. I have no doubt in my mind that he would do the business for us. We create alot more chances than Sunderland do aswell. I'm just praying that we can get it done. If only we had someone like him yesterday!
  7. Ashley Young is going to be a huge miss! Petrov, Reo Coker and Delph (if fit) SHOULD be able to win the midfield battle against their three. I'd back Albrighton to give Ridgewell nightmares. The problem is going to be supporting Gabby who will almost certainly play upfront on his own. Bannan will probably be the link. I'm really not looking forward to this game to be honest. Too many sloppy goals just like their winner in the cup have cost us dearly this season. If ever a morale boost was needed, surely winning this game would provide that! Unfortunately I cannot see it happening and I would quite happily settle for a draw. I hate being negative but while we are in this mess I'm struggling to think positive anymore!
  8. I'm 26 and I've been a season ticket holder for 17 years. I can honestly say that I have NEVER felt so depressed about Villa. Even the shocker we had under 'The Turnip' in 2002-03 didn't get me down this much. It's that bad I had second thoughts about going to the game but after a few minutes I reassured myself that we'd be ok... WRONG! Houllier simply has to go. I wasn't very happy when he was appointed but I was willing to give him a chance. Granted we've been hit badly by injuries over the last few months but there is absolutely no excuse for his shocking tactics. We can't even pull the injury excuse anymore anyway as the majority are back now. Does anyone know if Randy was in attendance tonight? Surely to god he can't continue to back Houllier after all these terrible results. We need to sort this mess out NOW! 21 games in and we are 1 point off the bottom and in the relegation zone for the first time in 7 years. I was speaking to Ian Taylor earlier. I said to him "Tayls can you please reassure me that we will not get relegated as I'm starting to get really worried now" His response was "I wish I could" I know there's still half a season left to go but in the words of Fergie... It's squeaky bum time!
  9. I'm really not looking forward to this game. Chelsea have been terrible lately but nowhere near as bad as we have. I can see it being another 4-0.
  10. I'm still trying to come to terms with Milner leaving lol. If we lost Ash aswell I'd be devastated but if it came down to it I'd rather sell him so that we could at least try and replace him with the money than lose him for nothing.
