PaulC
Torres is not a brilliant player. Really? turnbull
Torres's cheeks go red when he runs, just like Darren Anderton. That makes him shit in my book.

Yes I know its selective stats but its a very poor return in the league. The best players score in all competiions. I think Lukaku scored more in the league last season than Torres has done in his Chelsea career. He just isn't what he was that's all.
Genie
Fair enough. I'm just saying, he is one of the most successful footballers in the history of the game and he gets an unfair amount of stick (imo). VillaChris
Torres is just like Shevchenko, who came to Chelsea and eventually scored goals but was nowhere near the striker he was at Meeelan and Torres is the same, nowhere near what he was like at Liverpool consistently when he was one of the best strikers in Europe. He won't be firing Chelsea to winning the league title put it that way.
Voinjama
But I bet Torres looks more fondly at his time at Chelsea then he does his time at Liverpool.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Mourinho tells their best player, player of the season for the past two seasons, a player who played a key role in CL, FA Cup and Europa League wins, to adapt to his way. Hmm.

Voinjama
It was a kind of a tongue in cheek comment with a serious undetone to it. Basically Mourinho when he was in charge at Madrid fell out with all the Spanish players and there was actually a huge Spanish vs Portuguese split in the Madrid squad. They have many player's from both countries in their squad. According to Balague, Mourinho was the instigator of this split, furthermore I remember him making the comment that ''Spanish people look down on us Portuguese''. AVFCforever1991
He's thinking long term. By the time he takes the Portugal job he'll have the confidence of every Spanish player broken...

Guest av1
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on his side's draw against Arsenal in the Capital One Cup said: "My view is that our under-21 team will have a good experience of the Capital One Cup. "When the people that decide the fixtures this is something I have to accept. But I have to prioritise. It will be a chance for the kids to play a good match." Taking it serious I see.
