The over riding need to be self sufficient and sustainable means we have to hope they play well to increase their value to turn a profit that we can then try and snare more youngsters to develop. The harsh reality of it all is that we are a feeder club to the top clubs. As much as people paint over it and bitch and moan, this is fact. Technically everyone is, Wig, by this definition. There are 2 clubs at the top of the pyramid, Barcelona and Real Madrid, everybody else in world football is a feeder club for them. If they want, they get. Delph has been unlucky with injuries and has had alot more competion to get past to get a game. 2 totally different situations. I could see why people dont really rate Delph mind. Spurs had a profit of £3m in 2007 , a profit of £33.4m in 2008 and they made a £4.2m profit in the last 6 months of 2010.
