So, not as skint as they make out then, those sneaky **** scousers

Well not really, they have got Benayoun, Aurelio and Insua of the wage bill and Mascherano isn't far off from going by the sound of it so I'd say the 90k a week on Cole won't put their wage bill up much if at all.

Very suprised Man Utd never went for him.

They took a chance on Owen on a free and he's spent more time injured than fit. Joe Cole is almost certainly going the very same road. Don't blame Utd for letting someone else get Cole.

Lee Hendrie to join Aberdeen

Would love to get him up at Pittodrie  He could play in that league til he's 50 and let's face it, those legs don't have the mileage of a normal 33 year old footballer in them.

Hendrie having Dons talks

Experienced midfielder could make SPL switch

Aberdeen have confirmed that former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie has arrived at Pittodrie with a view to joining.

The 33-year-old, who has one England cap to his name, has been on the lookout for a new club since leaving Derby at the end of last season.

Hendrie has played for the likes of Stoke, Sheffield United, Leicester, Blackpool and Brighton after beginning his career with Villa.

The experienced midfielder will now look around Aberdeen and the club's facilities with a view to becoming the club's fourth summer signing after Rory McArdle, Josh Magennis and Mark Howard.

"English midfielder Lee Hendrie has arrived in Aberdeen (on Monday) with a view to potentially signing for the Dons," read a statement on the club's official website.

"It is a chance for Lee to familiarise himself with the Dons and the area and chance for Mark (McGhee) and his coaching staff to have a look at the player.

SHA linked to Riquelme, they can have him imo, his wages are astronomical and as mentioned in past he's a volatile character if things don't go his way.

However SSN sources say they are close to signing Humberto Suazo who would be a great signing for them :( However you never know how reliable SSN are.

Suazo is a small but powerful striker, works very hard too. Chile missed him for the opening games of the World Cup, they missed so many chances which he would usually put away.

Been a late peaker in his career and top scored in the SA qualifying for World Cup which I watched a lot of, can do a lot better then SHA.

Suazo saved Zaragoza last season and is better than that dud Benitez they had last year.

Riquelme needs to be around Argentinian players preferably his friends. Part of me wants this to happen

Probably realised that his gang of Johnny Come Latelies still can't compete with an established giant, even one going through a rough patch, if said giant wants his player.
