Genie
You need to be cool to pull off a thin tie. I've never risked it. you also need to be the slim side of average weight, anything above and it'll look all kinds of wrong.
Shillzz
Cheers lads, so white shirt it is, do i match the tie to the suit or go for a lighter grey? Green Shillzz......really?!?!? Also, im not keen on the thin ties, dont think they look smart, more fashion driven. It's got to be a pastel green otherwise it'll just look garish. Personally think it looks good though. Absolutely not a skinny tie because you look like a knob. (and yes. I'm a great big lardy pie man)

wiggyrichard
Last question, plain tie or stripped/pattern etc ?
BOF Posted August 28, 2012 Moderator Share Posted August 28, 2012 If the shirt has no pattern then it doesn't matter provided it's a nice tie. Just don't have patterned shirt and patterned tie. Too busy.

I'd say ideally keep it all plain though

PieFacE Posted August 29, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 29, 2012 Right, I have a bit of a random situation and am looking for some advice. Are there any people who are good with money/finances? Pretty much, I have 1700 euros. I'm wanting to get this into my bank account as cheap as possible? Does anyone know if it's worth holding onto in case the Euro is about to get stronger? Or does anyone know the cheapest place to get Euros converted to GBP? Any help would be mostly appreciated...
