It's all just grandstanding by Catalan politicians who aren't happy that because their region is richer than the poorer regions of Spain they are essentially subsidising them. They think Catalonia is not getting enough funding from central government given the money they put in.

(Even if it ever did, there is no way Barça would leave La Liga. It's all about money and they need each other too much for any split)
BOF Posted October 5, 2017 Moderator Share Posted October 5, 2017 A mate of mine reckons the timing of all of this is interesting in a footballing context. Not pre-meditated or anything, but convenient nevertheless. That it might; along with the 'big 6' conversation happening in the Premier League at the moment; at the very least (re-)instigate the European Super League debate which many believe is inevitable. Barça have already said they'd consider leaving La Liga for one of the other big leagues. That may or may not be a runner, but either way it does at least start the 'what's next' or the 'where do we call home' chat. It doesn't take much for that discussion to gather momentum and then you've the likes of PSG chipping in too.

VillaChris
Kondogbia was a great pick up. Wasn't so long ago he was the next big thing at Monaco but Inter Milan was wrong club and he disappeared for a bit. Watch some prem club come in with an 80m bid at end of the season. Murillo was another good pick up. Even Neto who I don't think is that great a keeper is saving penalties. They can certainly finish above Sevilla this season who are declining a bit. VillaChris
Hopefully the goalscoring has stopped so I can watch the end of the Milan derby. That's been a great game in its own right.

PaulC
Valencia 4-0 against Sevilla. Next three games look easy on paper. No Europe. Can they possibly be title contenders?
