Fathers Day

My son spent an hour yesterday making me a Father's Day card.

It's lovely.

However, I'm not entirely sure what it is.

In fact I'm not even sure what way up it's meant to be.

I did get breakfast in bed though, which my son then ate half of it.

Just woken up after a late one last night.

Time to see if Mrs Sidcow has got me anything for father's day as I very much doubt the kids have the ungrateful wretches.

Then see if she has got my dad anything as I definitely haven't.

As much as anything a) I've no idea what to get him and b) we've had a busy time of the last week or so. We were wracking our brains about what to get him.

He's totally bed bound or seat bound.  Doesn't do anything or go anywhere. Wear and tear on clothes is minimal.

Doesn't even read much anymore.

Can you still get audio books? Might pop to WH Smiths in Solihull if Mrs Sidcow hasn't already got something

I've gifted him some Audiobooks on Audible. He spends half his life on Amazon anyway so should be easy enough for him to use them I hope.

Be great if he gets on with them as that's future Birthdays and Christmas sorted.

I opened my Fathers Day card last Sunday because someone told me last Sunday was Fathers Day

(by some miracle my Daughter was organised this year, it normally arrives on the Wednesday after)

As I’ve given up chocolate the kids had to put some effort into Father’s Day this year … I don’t drink at home either so that option had gone

Some interesting history related books (On Egypt) have done the job .

might have to invest in some cooking lessons for the daughter for Christmas though :)
