Relegation Battle - 22/23

I really feel like it's a poor league at the bottom end. We only need to improve slightly and there should be no concerns.

We were tactically a mess Vs Leeds and Forest but still got two points on the road. Brentford can't get results away. Bournemouth can't seem to hold a lead.

If we are anywhere near come May the players should be embarrassed giving the quality and depth we have.

We're now only outside the bottom three on goal difference.

Gotta feelin Southampton are going to beat Newcastle tomorrow as well as they're kind of team that comes up with random wins when they're not expected to, and feels like Newcastle due a defeat anyway.

Would be great if we could get a win.

Not even goal difference, or even goals scored. We're out of the bottom 3 because of head-head with Southampton.

Gerrard really f****d us.

Our next PL games are Manure and Brighton before the WC, then Liverpool and Spurs leading in to the Jan transfer window.

You never know what could happen points wise, but its also feasible we pick up very few points from that run and are sitting in the relegation zone in early Jan, which will also make it harder to get any players Emery might want.

Im trying not to be a negative nelly, but we really wasted a great run of games leading up to Gerrard's dismissal, what a mess, im finding it hard to see how we wont be in a relegation dogfight this season, even if we eventually manage to pull ourselves away from it at some point.

It's unbelievable that this squad is in a relegation battle

Much like last season, with injuries it’s pretty much the same team.

Finished 11th under Deano

And were hurtling towards relegation the following season.

Grealish was a huge factor the season before as well.

Because Deano lost the dressing room for whatever reason.

Our stronger is a lot stronger than it was then.

That squad didn't have Bailey, Buendia, Ings etc. One player doesn't make a whole team.

We weren't in relegation trouble for majority of last season.

Our squad is about 10th-12th imo, possibly a 9th if Emery can get consistent form out of 2-3 of our best players.

Was always ridiculous to write off Rodgers and Leicester.

Rodgers always been a good manager. You don't turn shit overnight. They had a bad run of form that was it.

Very good defensive record lately, 5 clean sheets out of last 7 games and Man. City only scored a world class FK last week.

That lad they signed at the back to replace Fofana looks another gem.

Hopefully Emery can improve our defence like that and then we can get some wins.
