I don’t know what Luton fans think of him, but his stats there so far do not look good.

What stats? He's playing most of every game, they appear to be in decent form.

Marv is hardly expected pass or shoot, let alone get any assists or goals, so his WhoScored ratings are never going to be great.

Basically every single stat aside from his tackling is not good. I’m not saying he’s shit or the team is playing poorly, just that his stats don’t look good.

On the topic of whoscored ratings, specialist DMs like him are very capable of posting good ratings there without goals and assists anyway. Kante posted a 7.61 rating which is insanely high the year Leicester won the title for example.

if there are players who I think are underrated via whoscored’s system, it would actually be DMs who are less physical and more passing oriented because they don’t have the defensive nor the attacking stats to boost their rating. High passing accuracy tends to be meaningless when it doesn’t lead to high amount of key passes.

Davis, Nakamba, Iroegbunam, Philogene, Bogarde, Barry, Marschall, Archer, Azaz all start.

Ramsey on the bench, there was talk of him being rotated before Stoke game so not a big surprise

Too bad the Championship is bankrupt these days. Pre pandemic we could have probably gotten 10M+  for the likes of KD and JPB who in all honesty will not break into our squad. Now probably just 2-3M tops.

Just sell with buy back clauses or sell on clauses ( buy backs better as it can't be circumnavigated with swaps ) I would guess at least one of these players will break through,  JPB is my bet on eventually  being good enough

Sounds like Philogene has been playing really well since Lamouchi took over, all I'm seeing is constance praise from Cardiff fans with them calling him their most dangerous player, and asking to sign him. I wouldn't sell him just yet, this good form he's showing should get him a move to a better Championship team for next season and see how he does, I bet if you put him in current MIddlesbrough team he would be doing just as well as Archer and Ramsey for example, that he's impressing as much as he is in a struggling Cardiff team is a good sign.

Unfortunately his goal today won't stand as game was postponed.

Most successful  weekend ever for our loanees? Pretty good showing all round

There have been some good ones since I've been doing it, but this might be the best in terms of quality (the Championship & Ligue 1 as opposed to say League 2 & the Supa Liga).

Nakamba stats are never going to be good. I don't watch Luton play but I presume it's very 'effective' football. Nakamba had usually 60 or 70% completed passes , he's more than capable of racking up 85% and 90% in the Championship in the right system keeping it ticking. I am guessing Luton aren't playing Rodgers ball.

As said above, unless you're rattling in shots, taking set pieces or makign key passes you're really going to struggle to hit a good rating on whoscored. It's bollocks really.

Anyone know the deal with the loan window?

Just seen that Derby have loaned a player to Scunthorpe today till the end of the season!

Apparently the National League has a transfer window that closes in "late March". I wasn't aware of it either.
