I'm not confident were safe from relegation this season.

If we play, like we have been, we can't be......but I think we are all hoping some form returns....and positive results follow.

I’m going to try and post a couple of positives for the Bednarek deal:

1. He’s better than Konsa, so would be upgrading our current starting XI

2. He’s on very low wages (£20k per week), so even with a loan fee of £1-2m, this deal wouldn’t cost more than about £2-3m for the year, which is what we think Young’s wages were last year

3. He’s great in the air, in both boxes, so we’d be much better from set pieces, both attacking and defensive

I would be underwhelmed with the signing, but trying to be positive!

As you say, until we see him in our team, its hard to judge, as players respond differently in different teams.

Like you, not been impressed with him at Southampton.

I meant I don’t believe the rumour is true, if there is any truth to the rumour then I’ll be angry.  I don’t want to sign him.

Surprisingly he’s not though

Are you sure, some websites say he’s on £60k per week

But according to some of the websites he’s consistently weak at tackling and discipline.

My positivity is coming from that we haven’t signed him yet so there is hope he doesn’t 😉

On loan I can understand; permanent transfer then someone is taking the pi$$.

If he's good in the air......we won't sign him.

West ham spending £50 million on a midfielder. Over to you Villa.

Also 8 Million for Diallo is a no brainer. Why would he reject AC Milan tho?

Out of curiosity which of our 11 would you think are better than Newcastle? Kamara, coutinho (maybe), digne and cash. Other than that I’m struggling

I'd go

Martinez

Cash Carlos Botman Digne

Kamara Guimeres Ramsey

Coutinho Wilson St Maximin

Hard to split Wilson and Watkins tbh

Pit issue is our team isn't clicking with the way they're asked to play. The Full backs and the 8s covering isn't working and opposition are exploiting that.

Milan’s financials and the state of the Italian league perhaps or perhaps not a guarantee of game time.

Konsa is abysmal

So is Bednarek

As the original poster said. Bednerek is a big improvement on Konsa. Konsa gets bullied every game. He’s slow, rubbish in the air and weak. I struggle to see any reason we would ever start konsa over Bednerek if we had both
