Don’t believe he’s shit but I do think Sanson’s reputation has been helped by not playing much.

He looks a tidy player but imo hasn’t shown that much either defensively or going forward. He likes to put a foot on the ball and look around but doesn’t take the initiative. Rarely involved in attacks and not many great passes, or ball recoveries.

Villa really could use tidy players in midfield but his passing stats actually aren’t that great compared to Douglas Luiz for example (although good compared to McGinn).

Pretty sure he had the most assists one season in Ligue 1. We can't judge his output based on minutes here and there. He looks to have a lot of quality, and needs a proper run of games IMO. He'll also then feel less desperate to impress and his game will come more naturally.

Dele Alli started to decline the day he spent more time practising his celebration handshake routine than he did practising to be good at football.

Jose sussed him out

I think Dele Alli's streak was similar to that of Papiss Cisse's - luck.

What's he good at? Movement is OK, finishing is decent. That's literally it. For a 10, he can't dribble, average ball control, average technique, passing is average.

Said it at the time even when he was scoring loads.

I am awaiting the inevitable posts how Sanson being a useless player who never works hard enough to get fit is somehow Gerrard's fault.

But hey silver lining, because he is so useless and lazy we wont be able to get rid of him so he will be here taking a wage packet and not playing long after Gerrard is gone.

Another great zero evidence post

Smith rarely had an injury free Sanson to pick, and that explain why he wasn’t picked.

With Gerrard you never know, he do that many strange team selection in midfield that either;

1 - Sanson is shit and doesn’t deserve to be picked

2 - He is good enough, but Gerrard pick his non performing friends instead.

I guess we wouldn’t know before we get a proper manager, that would assess if Sanson is good enough or not.

He must be a complete arsehole behind the scenes as both Dean & Gerard seem to want nothing to do with him.

He mostly played when fit for deano though. Like 10/15 games or something. And even then a lot of those missed games were 1st and 2nd best games back from injury.

You guys have seen different games then. All of Sanson's cameos have looked lazy garbage to me followed by petulance then being dropped again. Lange , Purslow & Deano bought a dud. It happens but the idea Gerrard is in anyway to blame for this fiasco is ridiculous.

31, and 33 pressure per 90 for us in the prem. 33.5% success rate. For reference those would basically be the best in the league by a lot.

Presses per 90 last season and the season before?
