useless
By the sound of things it could be worse than a full Bassini takeover, if that was to happen as soon as the reports are suggesting then apparently the HKSE would have had to have been informed, something that hasn't happened, so it's either nowhere near to being completed as the reports claim, Bassini himself has a reputation for making false claims, or he's only buying a partial stake in them, so they'd still have that Wang guy involved, which is something they don't need. Either way, stuck with Wang, Wang and Bassini, or just Bassini, it's not looking promising for them.
Jonesy7211
Blues fans seem to think Bassini is going to be the front man for the dildo brothers, who'll then take over when they sell West Ham. I hope not, I don't want the inbreeds having any hope.

Why the **** would they go back to Blues though?

Hopefully this is just blues fans putting 2+2 together and getting really confused.

In April of that year, it was confirmed that he had reached agreement to buy the financially stricken Bolton Wanderers from Ken Anderson, but that deal collapsed after he repeatededly failed to show proof of funds to the EFL. Four months later, with Bolton in administration and the players not having been paid in full for several months, the club’s administrators were on the point of completing a sale to Football Ventures Ltd., only for Bassini to get a court order at the last minute, blocking the sale. The sale eventually went through a month later, with Bolton on the brink of liquidation. Sounds a top bloke! Already looks like a knuckledragger as well. I just came to post that football365 piece. It's a masterpiece. Bankruptcy twice, failed takeovers twice due to not demonstrating the funds. A further takeover he claimed that then didn't happen (and may never have even been started)... There's no way he's buying blues without the backing of someone like the dildo brothers...although why they'd pick the blues as their next project, let alone pick Bassini as their front man, is beyond me. If any leniency is showed towards them it's not because there's a fan of theirs on the EFL board, as that board doesn't decide the punishments, the EFL have actually pushed for them to get worse punishements than they've actually got. They should have been given the points ban the following the season. They would have been in deep trouble and likely gone down if they started in -9 points. They knew the odds were they woild stay up so it would punish the blosers but at same time wouldnt result in a court case as they will likely have stayed up
Demitri_C
Surely that would be a deal breach the sullivans owning west ham and blose? I dont see how they will be allowed to fund blose and wsst ham?

villarule123 Posted June 13, 2022 VT Supporter Share Posted June 13, 2022 Bassini having a partial stake in the club in a staged purchase is just about the most perfect way this 'takeoever' could go. If you want it to all go tits up, that is.

useless
The initial rumour from when Bassini was first linked a month or so back was that he was buying them with money borrowed from Sullivan. I don't think Sullivan himself is interested, pretty sure he left on bad terms with them in the first place, and if he did want to buy them back would just buy them outright without going through someone else, and if he was going to go through someone else probably would choose to do it through Bassini. All that's even if there's any truth to the Sullivan link whatsoever.

I'm assuming you missed a word here that changed the whole meaning? Because I think we're in agreement. Even if Sullivan wanted no involvement himself, and he was just helping to finance a deal, why on earth would someone like Bassini seem like a person you can trust to get you your money back? Noses are clutching at straws, I think

West Ham say Sullivan not involved with takeover via KUMB 'A deal to purchase Championship club Birmingham City is reported to be close to completion. Businessman Laurence Bassini, who is behind the deal has told local media that he expects to complete his takeover within the next few days. Yet despite previous reports suggesting the deal would be financed with a £33million loan from West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan via his investment company Rickleford Limited, KUMB understands the 73-year-old is not involved with the purchase.' useless
Then again John Percy is now reporting that Bassini has borrowd the money from Sullivan, although that could just be a loan. Also says that Keith Harris will be their joint chief executive chairman.
