siminjo
after 30 min it could very easily been 4-1 to Manu, we were very fortunate to be leading at this time
MessiWillSignForVilla
This is **** awful from Villa, even when I manage to get the game playing I can barely make out the players, the quality is so shit. Why the hell is VillaTV so consistently terrible?

Don't get me wrong, they're definitely better than us, but the way they play the ball across the face of the goal is kinda pointless if our defenders are always going to be closer to the goal than their strikers. It's an easy clean up job each time, but I can't say whether this is down to our defenders being switched on or their strikers not being switched on. siminjo
out of a 100 times, United would lead after the first half 99 times. We were totally out of pace. They should really been up by 5-6 goals. Cash probably our weakest link, Luke Shaw is like Messi against cash, the sunday league player. Steer by far our best, and i like Trez for his enthusiasm and optimism if you can call it that. Even though he plays more like a rabid dog, than a skillfull winger. Mcginn would really benefit from a new physical regime, he looks laboured sadly
Keyblade
From what I'm watching of the second half, we look good. Playing some nice stuff. Trezeguet looks much improved imo, and Watkins with some nice hold up play and dragging Maguire all over the place.

Cash looks confident on the ball, but may need to think about positioning. United were most dangerous when Dan James had too much time and space to run into. McGinn showed some nice play and the goal was pleasing in an old school way. Watkins' diving header reminded me of Andy Gray, properly aggressive! Haven't seen us have a striker who moves into positions like he does for a while, I guess we're more used to lumping it up or utilising target men who hold the ball up. Watkins' seems like an actual goal scoring striker
Gompedyret
Very nicely taken goal, at least. One only needs to take one look at that and Ollie's movements ahead of the goal, to see what a player like Keinan Davis lacks, goalscoring-wise. And don't get me wrong,. I really like Davis and I hope he gets a good season of competitive football under his belt, on loan to an offensive minded championship team. Popular Post Zhan_Zhuang
Game of two-halves. Manure looked rampant earlier on and Cash had a torrid time; if not for two brilliant saves from Steer would have been a different game. Cash grew into the game and was much better second-half. Mings and Konsa both very strong. Targett looked good and does link up very well with Grealish. Luiz again absolute quality player; he has it all good in possession, quick and skilful but is also strong in dispossessing the opposition. Trezeguet finished where he left off, quick and lively. Great cross for the goal too. McGinn looks fit and is raring to go. Hourihane pretty quiet, surely he isn't starting on the opening day. Grealish was great very strong, quick and skilful. Almost unplayable at times and as per usual a few stronger challenges came his way. I was surprised he played the whole match, I'm guessing he won't figure at all against Burton. Watkins looks lively, he is quick and strong with great movement. Gave Maguire some trouble early and incidentally I really don't like Maguire, seems an entitled so and so and appears to have the weight of the world on his shoulders at the moment. Samatta was subbed on for Watkins after 65 minutes and ran around alot but was pretty ineffective as usual. Overall second-half Villa were sharp and quick going forward and the signs look good. I think after a season together in the PL they will have so much camaraderie and know-how to do much better this season. Finally, it was great to hear Tony Daley on commentary, as a young lad when I started going down the Villa he was my favourite player! 6
